Code ie + Inlet Error. Either the washer is taking too long to fill, or at least one of the inlet screens (usually the cold) is plugged. Turn off house supply valves so you can remove hoses from the back of the machine and then pull the screens out to clean them out. Replace the screens, re-connect hoses, turn valves back on and test.

My fuzzy logic LG washing machine, is no longer spinning or washing the clothes its showing error

An IE error code signifies that the washing machine is filling with water slowly or not at all. This can occur when water supply taps are not fully open or the water pressure to the tap or house is too low. Other possible causes are kinked, pinched or bent water line hoses, or clogged water inlet filters.
TIP Make sure the water taps are fully open.
Make sure the hoses are not kinked or pinched. (Use caution when moving the washer.)
Clean the inlet filters.
Check another faucet in the house to make sure your household water pressure is adequate.

I have a LG WD-1018C washer that wont spin out .. it just keep starting and stopping in about 30 second intervals ... an error code has just come up ... 1E ...can you help please ? Steve

The IE or 1E error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve.

An IE code comes on my washing machine and when this happens it does not go through the final rinse cycle

Error code of "IE" signifies a water inlet error.

This means that your machine is not filling to the proper water level, and may be fixed by ensuring that machine's water supply is properly connected and turned on. Also, this means that the washer has not filled with water in 8 minutes.

Hope helps.

Describe your LG WM1814CW Front Load WasheI cleaned out the screens on the water feed, unplugged the machine for 10 or more mins., and it still flashes "ie" after numerous attempts with the spin cycle. The...

IE is inlet error. (failed to reach set water level within 8 minutes)
You have cleaned the inlet screens. Make sure there is water up to the inlets. (disconnect hose and put end into drain or a bucket and turn valve on to make sure) Re-connect hoses and turn valves back on. Make sure hoses are not kinked. If still no water fill, you should take the top off the machine (bottom screws on the plastic retainers on the back side of the top, then from in front of the machine, push back with a sharp push of the palms of your hands on the L and R side of the top, to push it back about 2 inches, then lift the top off) and then check to see if you are getting any power (120 volts AC) to the water valves when you start a cycle. (Again, you should not get code IE for aprox. 8 minutes) No power to at least one coil on water valve = bad control board. Power to at least one coil, but still no water fill = bad water valve.
(by the way, the LE code is a capital L and E)

Will not run wash properly

The sensor you are referring to could posslbly be the water level switch which controlls the level of water, and also. is a factor as to wether the washer will spin or not, it also is part of the heater circuit, so it has numerous functions.
I t can be found at the top right front of the washer, and is about 3" in diameter, and has a thin plastic tube going to it.
it could be sticking, there is no sure fire way of testing it properly, but you could try tapping it and blowing down the tube, it may solve the prob.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
