2006 Crafstman GDO with wireless outside keypad that works fine. 2 Remotes used to work fine, but rarely used. Replaced batteries, tried to reprogram. Instructions printed on back of opener differ from instructions in manual. One says press button on opener, then press remote till it blinks. Other says press and hold remote, then learn button on opener. Neither works, neither gives a blinking light on opener. Tried resetting all codes, didn't work. Tried unplugging opener for a bit, didn't work. GDO on other door and remotes work fine after resetting them.

Make sure the LED in the wall control is not blinking. If it is press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

The 3 flash error code is "Door control or wire shorted". Try disconnecting the wall control for a time and see if your problem quits. If you used staples on the wiring make sure they did not cut the insulation.

It sounds like you bought the wrong car remotes. The model number for your opener is on the end closest to the garage door. Using it you can get the correct remotes.

Sears Craftsman Gar. door opener won't respond

There isn't a fuse. You are going to need to remove the cover on the opener and find out where you are losing the power. Maybe a neighbor has a volt meter you could use. I would check the power cord and then the logic board. Makes no sense but I would check for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit board especially around that small transformer.

Craftsman GDO - Remotes not working

I think this is an easier way to program. Press and hold the button on the remote and then press and immediately release the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit. Do this for each remote you have.

Only 1 remote will work at a time

One of your remotes has reverted to an earlier technology and they will no longer work with each other. You need to purchase a new remote making sure you get the same model number. Then you will find you can program 2 that will work with each other and 1 that will not. Remove the battery from the bad remote and toss it so that it doesn't cause problems down the road.
