When I purchase my Palette' E-Line Creative System Upgrade , I hadHe a DeskTop Computer with the Diskette. I have upgrade my computer to the Laptop, does not use the old USB Cable or disks. Where can I purchase the USB for a laptop and CD to install on my laptop. My palette is in perfect condition; Pls Help !

    not sure exactly what you are asking for...but I have the palette version 3 software that works on my computer and I'm looking for a palette box. I bought my daughter the ese 2 when i went in to get mine serviced, ;they had one available cheap. however the magic elite box that came with it didnt have the software. So ive been looking for a palette box, because i have the install stuff for up to version 3or 4....but i think three. so if you want to sell the box if you decided to upgrade...id be interested. my email is patteking.pk@

    Just to [email protected]. Maybe we could work out an exchange. I was gonna upgrade my palette but I just have the first baby lock, and my daughter now has the ese2 without the palette box but has a OESD mini magic box elite without the installation software. I sure hope this helps you and me too.

Buy an external floppy drive (comp USA $19.99) and a USB to serial port adapter (TigerDirect.com $7.99) when you install the driver be sure to use comp port 1. This works I just went through the same thing and everyone said it couldn't be done. I am now using my palette on my windows xp computer. Good luck!

    how could i get the OESD mini magic box elite software for my computer. i bought a used baby lock ese2 and it had the magic box but no installation software.

Palette 5.0 is no longer supported (Sadly) I have 6.0 and the same challenge. I now have had to purchase version 11 to work with the newest version of windows.

I have Babylock Palette 5.0 and I want to install on windows 7/32/64bit I do not know which install upgrade to use. I have installed the orginal disk and it does not work properly. Please advise.

You will need to upgrade to Palette 8,0 or NeXT versions that are compatible with Windows 7. I'm not sure if Palette 7 upgrade will work either. Other option, may be to get old computer with Windows XP and the right Parallel printer port with the card reader security device for Palette software to work.

I have version 1 of the Bernina Artista Software. My old laptop had a parallel port. Laptop crashed. Bought a new laptop with no parallel port. I have order a cable with a usb connector and parellel...
I had this same problem and when I tried to hook it up I got the error message "port com # in use." I remember this was an easy to solve problem a long time ago but I can't remember what I did to fix it. Someone from the computer store is going to try and fix it but I don't know "when!" Since I got a cheap hard drive put in my old computer, I'm going to reinstall it there if I can and just use it for that. If you're going to upgrade it make sure you can get the version 1 in your computer first and upgrade after it's up and working.

Not if you just want to get the patterns off the internet, etc., you cannot, or at least with my older version, make your own designs. You need to download the program to your computer. Its pretty simple if you get on the internet and download the designs put your palette on your computer, go to the designs, with a blank card, and load the patterns. Hope this makes sense.
