I bought 2 more torches after finding how good the first one was. One failed after a few months, but I had no trouble getting a refund from Bunnings when they couldn't replace it - after all, they are legally obliged to replace or refund if it fails under 1 year old. Today the second one failed, so it wasn't just bad luck! I took the advice of criss994 and opened it up (you need a special screwdriver) - sure enough, the fuse had blown. Soldering a physically larger one in (M205 - 20mm long by 5mm diameter - I didn't have the 10mm x 3.6mm replacement) was fiddley but there is enough room. The original fuse is a fast-blow 1-amp rated one - so perhaps the induction coil feeding the torch causes a surge, as the unit is rated at only 1/100th of an amp. My replacement is a slow-blow 630mA fuse - it should overcome any surge problem.
another part Click Nightguard Brand CLKRT200 Motion Torch Not charging A great product, inductive coupled charged torch with nighttime motion detector. Purchased from Bunnings 6 months ago for $19.99, stopped charging. The base has a burnt smell coming from it. Opened the base and found that the 224j / 400V polyester capacitor had ruptured and a resistor was burned beyond recognition. Fuse was O.K. It was very hard to find a product website for the Click Brand. A search on IP Australia disclosed that the trademark owner is Bunnings... Alot of other are having similar issues with the CLKRT200 and CLKRT100. Fuses blowing.... Poor design.... Lucky this did not catch on fire.

Exactly the same thing with ours. Thought it was wonderful when we purchased it but now can't get it to recharge at all. It worked for about 6 weeks. We purchased ours from Bunnings and when I went to complain about it I noticed that they have taken them off the shelves. Obviously there is a known fault with them but Bunnings refused to refund me any money or replace it.
THERE CRAP PARTS C3 AND R4 BLOW AND FAULT HAS BEEN THERE ON THE FIRST MODEL SIT NOT FIXED ITS EASY BUT PARTS AND TIME MANUFACTURE SHOULD RECALL HAS IS ALL OF THE CLICK FAMILY OF TORCHES COULD BE OR FUALT IN NZ?
My R4 has blown, do you know the value? Can't see the value rings any more
I 2nd this. E1 blew it's lid too
Replaced E1 with 4.7uF 450V electrolytic and R4 with 22K resistor. Charging is working fine however both LED's in the torch are still faulty and these failed a while back. Seems like a good item when you first get it but quality is rubbish.
That's exactly what happened to mine too and less than 12 months old. Too many products purchased from Bunnings fail eg Holman electronic tap timers.

I have one same happened so i decided to open the base up (bit that plugs in) and noticed the fuse had gone, anyway I put a wire bypassing the fuse and its working fine again. Since its working fine now I doubt the torch has a fault I just think click didnt put a high enough rating fuse inside.
I also had a problem with the base not recharging the torch (checked it is not the torch by testing it on another unit in another room). After unplugging the base from the wall I was holding it in my hand when the ends of the two pins touched my palm and I got shocked! Pretty sure that shouldn't happen...

Your right there should be a recall on these.
don't replace the fuse if your fails. the capacitors can burn out. They are a fire hazed.
There is also a transistor which may be blown, so one may have to replace this as well as the batteries if it has been left flat for to long.
Hi, I have one and its the best torch I have ever had.
I dont know where it came from. Where did you get yours?
I would get another if I could. Thanks

Here is an interesting twist.
I wonder if they have been recalled?
I wonder why there not letting customers know about it if there is a recall.
