Our LG side-by-side, model # LSC26905, suddenly stopped running when my wife was dispensing ice. The owner's manual and the gent at the customer service phone line were no help at all. This happened late Sunday afternoon, and we are waiting for the nearest authorized LG service repair outlet to open this morning. Breaker and outlet are fine. Does anyone who speaks English as a first language have an idea how to restart the refrigerator? Are one-year warranties standard on large appliances nowadays? Does anyone else find that outrageous?

Switch off completely and leave for 30 seconds. switch back on and cooling should start in under 5 minutes. If not, check inline fuse and output to compressor.

SOURCE: LG Refrigerator water and ice dispenser stuck

We just had this problem and we fixed it by peeling off the soft rubber covering (the part you press the glass against)and then putting it back on. There is a plastic tab beneath that could get stuck if the rubber part gets an air pocket or bent out of shape. This took 2 minutes and worked like a charm.

SOURCE: Faulty ice maker

Hello. Yes, that is the correct position for the icemaker feeler arm. The updated icemaker has a longer feeler arm that hangs down a little more (thereby shutting off sooner when the ice piles up not so high).

Your water leak onto your food is from water spilling out of the front left corner of the ice tray during fill. This has also been updated with a plastic lip that keeps the water from sloshing out when filling up.

The photo shows that your ice tray appears to be unlevel and drooping in the front left corner. This happens with flex tray icemakers over time. The icetray does not fully flex back to its level posiiton. I do not feel you need to replace the entire icemaker. Repalcing just the ice tray should fix your issue.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

GE GSH25JFRF BB ice maker doesn't dispense. Water dispenses and ice maker makes ice but won't come out.

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

LG LSC26905 makes ice, but will not dispense through door. Ice backs up on inside of freezer door when attempting to dispense ice (crushed and whole cubes). Water dispenses OK. Any help? Thanks.

Sounds like the flap or door directly above where the cup would be is not opening. Press lever and look up in there, if that is the case there is a problem inside the door.

Lights out and water and ice dispenser not working

You have a bad main board. To replace the board remove the cover on the back to access the board. Be carefull when removing the plugs.

The place where the water filter plugs into the fridge has sprung a leak. Have not been able to use the water or ice maker.

You should be able to remove the filter and insert in its place the plug that came with the fridge. It should then run without the filter. Odds are the o-ring on the filter is nicked, or the filter is not properly inserted. It is a little tricky - if you still have the owner's manual that should clarify how the filter is inserted.
