We have a Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer. The door lock is stuck and will not unlock. We have a load of clothes in the washer but are unable to get the door to unlock. I have tried unplugging the unit, rerunning it through the wash cycle, but it just won't get into a state where the door unlocks. I have tried the spin cycle, the drain cycle and still the door remains locked. Any suggestions for getting the door to open ???

Getting the door open is the easy part. Finding out why it won't open might take a little doing -- though replacing the door latch is also easy. To get the door open, Take an awl or something pointy and place it in the hole on the small round cover in the lower left front of the machine. Now use this to turn the cover, unscrewing it from the machine. Once the cover is off, you should see a plastic rod hanging down. Pull this rod and it will unlock the door. You can now remove your wet clothes from the machine and investigate the cause of the problem.
