Run the Update and Activation Troubleshooters
If the error persists, run the Windows 10 Activation Troubleshooter as well. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Troubleshooter. Wait until the tool completes the troubleshooting process, restart your computer and check if the error code 0xc004f074 persists
This will only work if you still have your CD & Activation Code + a copy of your latest Back-up:
1. Install CD & enter Activation Code, then pretend that you have faxed the info.
2. Open a new Account, with similar name to your original & roughly enter required details.
3. Once completed, open the new Account & go to File >Restore. Chose your last Back-up date & you will have all your Account records back again.
This has worked for me through Windows 7, 8 & 8.1. I was pleased to see that by upgrading to Windows 8.1, my QuickBooks program still works well.
Download any autodesk product -> Install with serial (Which ever works for you) 666-69696969, 667-98989898, 400-45454545; then product code 128B1 OR 001C1 ;593C1 -> Restart computer ->get request code & give me to activation code. -> Enjoy your full product

Where did you obtain the CD-ROM that you used to install Windows,
using that Product Key?
A "VLK' is a "volume license key" -- when some organization purchases a specific number
of licenses to install Windows XP, Microsoft issues a "volume" license-key,
so that all (up to the number of licenses they purchased) computers in that organization
can use the _same_ license-key.
If Microsoft detects that the product-key is being used *OUTSIDE* of that specific organization,
then Microsoft will *BLOCK* all attempts to "activate" Windows that cite that product-key.
I did a Google-search for '3R89F-D2KXW-VPK3J' and Google reported 37 THOUSAND web-pages that contain that string. That is a *DEFINITE* sign that the VLK has been "leaked" onto the Internet.
So, you are trying to use a "non-genuine" copy of Microsoft Windows XP.
Thus, you are a "SOFTWARE PIRATE".
Purchase a *GENUINE* copy of Windows XP (or Vista or 7) and install it,
and throw away your "pirated" copy of Windows.
