Remove the bottom pannel under the door - 3 screws
reach up inside the machine by the door and you will find a plastic pull pull it down and you will hear a click to unlock the door.

Clothes still wet after washed

There could still be water in between the drums. Have a look at the filter, pump and all outlet pipes for a blockage. the excees water that you have when you have clothes in will be what's left in the clothes, wih the machine empty you may just be seeing what shows above the inner drum.

I just got a malber 1000 washer/dryer. Can it be used as a dryer only?

NO THIS UNIT USES CONDENSED DRYING AND WILL WET THE CLOTHES BEFORE IT EVEN TURNS ON THE HEATER. BASICALLY YOUR COMBO USES STEAM CIRCULATION THRU YOUR CLOTHES. AS THE SMALL WATER PARTICLES IN THE STEAM MOVE THRU YOUR CLOTHES IT COMBINES WITH SMALL WATER PARTICALS IN THE CLOTHES(THINK OF 2 WATER DROPS COMBINING ON YOUR WINDSHEILD AND HOW THEY ABSORB TOGETHER) WHICH RISE TO THE TOP OF THE TUB AND COLLECT INTO WATER AGAIN. THEY THEN ROLL DOWN THE SIDES OF THE TUB AND COLLECT AGAIN AT THE BOTTOM TO BE PUMPED OUT. BEFORE THIS PROCESS EVEN STARTS THE UNIT WILL ACTUALLY ADD WATER TO GENERATE THE STEAM. MOST PEOPLE FIND THAT IF THEY WANT TO JUST FRESHEN UP SOMETHING, IT WILL END UP DRENCHING WET IN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES.

ATF6000FS1 Frigidare front load washer The washer doesn't seem to wash the clothes well. Often, i find some clothes not wet and even the wet clothes don't come out well washed.

Suggests that motor not not tuning heavy loads due to worn belt or motor.. you could check if Carbon Brushes are worn if they are fitted some motors dont use them..good luck

My maytag neptune washer will not perform the final spin cycle. Therefore the clothes are still wet. Any solutions

Maytag washer parts, GE washer parts, and other brand names on the market are all designed to work interdependently with each other. This system starts to break down if even one part begins to encounter difficulty. Your washer's spin cycle flings a large amount of water out of the clothes, but if the water can't drain, the clothes will soak it all back up, defeating the purpose of the cycle. Excessively wet clothes after the spin cycle may not be caused by faulty washer parts, but rather a blocked drain is a very good bet. Check the drain line for a blockage and try again. If your hose is kinked or bent, this can also cause a drainage problem. The failure of one simple part creates a larger problem for all the washer parts. What can cause a blockage? A number of items; paper left in the pockets of your jeans, coins or other debris, even socks. Check your hoses, and make sure your laundry has empty pockets for future loads.
