I turned both the light and fan on then pushed the filter button. After a loud beep the filter light reset went off. This worked for me.

SOURCE: Damper need for Broan Range Hood

I called tech support at Broan and was told they recommend two dampers in cold climates ...one at in the wall cap and one on the unit. They make the damper,
(#BP87-7"), that attaches to the round duct plate that comes with the hood. Strangely the unit does not include a round damper and the seller LOWES did not have it, also checked Home Depot,.
The Tech said they can't get stores to stock it. I checked at a local supplier of all kinds of plumbing, heating, and cooling supplies and they only had basic 7" dampers which, I was told would probably be too heavy, and be manual. I ordered it through Amazon/True Value ($11.56 w/ shipping, shipping more than cost of damper). Tech indicated that the 2nd (unit damper) is optional and may not be needed if in a warm climate. I would suggest that Broan include the $5.00 item in their unit or at least sellers stock it.

SOURCE: Broan Allure QS2 Range Hood

Had same problem & fuse fixed it.
Before buying a new control board (approx $160), check the 3 amp fuse located on the inside of the vent on the control board. You have to take the light/bottom housing & black plastic air chute off to see control board/fuse.

How to Replace switch and circuit board brown model 88,000-c

Replacing a switch and circuit board on a Broan vent hood model 88,000-c requires some electrical knowledge and experience. If you are not comfortable working with electricity, it is recommended that you hire a licensed electrician to perform the replacement.
Here are the general steps for replacing the switch and circuit board on your Broan vent hood:
  1. Turn off the power to the vent hood. You can do this by turning off the circuit breaker or unplugging the vent hood.
  2. Remove the cover of the vent hood. This usually involves removing screws or clips that hold the cover in place.
  3. Locate the switch and circuit board. The switch and circuit board are typically located near the control panel on the vent hood.
  4. Disconnect the wiring from the old switch and circuit board. Take note of which wires go where, so you can reconnect them to the new switch and circuit board.
  5. Remove the old switch and circuit board from the vent hood.
  6. Install the new switch and circuit board in the same location as the old ones.
  7. Reconnect the wiring to the new switch and circuit board. Make sure to connect the wires to the correct terminals.
  8. Replace the cover of the vent hood.
  9. Turn the power back on to the vent hood and test the new switch and circuit board to ensure that they are working properly.
If you encounter any difficulties during the process, it is best to stop and seek assistance from a professional. Safety is a top priority when working with electrical systems, and it is important to take proper precautions to avoid injury or damage to your home.

Light button blinking why

The fan light switch blinks when it is time to clean the filter. Clean the filter, then press and hold the switch for 3 seconds to reset it.

Brian range hood model CJD130SS fan light on display flashes with fan off or on.

I believe that's the "change or clean filter" indication. Clean the aluminum filters in the dishwasher, replace the charcoal filters if non-ducted, press the fan light over 3 seconds and it should reset.

I just had a Broan Elite E662 hood installed and it is blowing out instead of pulling air in. I held a tissue up to the filter and it does not pull it up...rather it blows it down. Was something done...

It sounds like the fan blade may be installed upside down, or the entire motor/fan assembly is upside down. Typically, these small motors aren't reversible, so you should check the blade first.

Broan range vent fan not working; motor humming but will not turn, light works fine, not the fuse.

The motors will go bad from time to time. I would check Broan's web site

Can not get halogen bulb out of my kennmore elite range hood

You will have to do the following steps.

1. remove filters
2. Unscrew 2 screws retaining metal plate under the filters.
3. Now you must remove the whole light panel. 5 screws in all, three under the front lip and two at both back ends of the same panel.
4.You now unhook the light wires (plastic connector with two wires)

Now you have the whole pnale in your hands. Unclip the socket of "problem side" and unscrew the socket from the bulb. Re-do steps 4.3.2.1
