Hi, My Kenmore Elite is 3 years old. Ice keeps forming in the bottom under the freezer bin, and makes it not shut completely. I have removed an approx 1 cm layer of ice several times already this month. I turned off the icemaker in case the water is leaking into the bottom, but to no avail. I do have my AC off this summer. Could it be condensation from outside air that then freezes? Thanks, ER
I replaced my "entire" ice cube maker (tube, hoses, water pump, ice maker) and it still pooled water at the bottom. I removed the back panel in the freezer and noticed the ciols go through a defrost cycle and water forms in tray under coils. I removed the lower panel on rear of fridge -and found a drain hose near the water solenoid/pump. I blew compressed air into the hose and hopefully unblocked it so it can drain into the pan not the freezer.

I have basically the same problem (also 3-years old). Water pools and freezes in the ice bin, a few cubes. My solution was to turn it off until I have time and energy to empty the freezer to look for a fix. This is one of many problems with this refrigerator. Plastic parts are breaking off everywhere. The clip that holds the door shut broke, several pieces of the veg and meat bin gliders have broken off and the catch on the veggie bin door broke. Sears dept manager says they are just cosmetic problems that wouldn't be covered by their extended warrenties anyway (door latch cosmetic?).
does not make ice at all
