A self winding watch will run for 2-3 days if it is not worn (they thrive on being used) and it sounds as if you have not been using it; is this the case?

It could be that the winder does not operate on the spring (some watches don't), so to wind it up you need to activate the self winding mechanism.

You can do this by gently swinging the watch from side to side for a few minutes. This will simulate the normal operation when it is being worn.

If you continue to have trouble with it stopping, it could be that it needs cleaning. I had a similar problem with a watch I had some years ago.

Hi I have a Tissot Seastar 17 jewels manual wind 1964 mens watch. It runs, but is looses about 1/2 hr a day. Sometimes if i leave it face up on the table. It will run on time.

From your description it could be the main spring is broken, or there is a gear and or bushing failure. You will have to give the watch to a place that can service your watch. If you contact Tossot customer support they can advise you.

The tissot visodate watch is automatic not battery driven.

I would not wind the watch manually. I also have a Tissot. If you cannot wear it often enough to keep it going, you can purchase a watch box that is made for self-winding watches which will turn the watch periodically in order to keep it wound.

I was given a Tissot Seastar and I know nothing about it or if it's worth fixing. It has a 17 jewel automatic movement which works fine.It also has the day and date. The movement number is 14190996 and the...

If it is the eta 2824-2 model. When you say the hands don't turn, I take it it does not work? its an automatic so needs wrist/ hand movement to wind the rotor. You can manually wind the watch by simply turning the crown (without pulling the crown out) Try doing this first.

Tissot Seastar 1000 Does anyone know of a source

Tissot is Swatch. They do not sell parts! You need to contact the company OR where you purchased the watch.
