How to fix a crack inside a LG LCD TV

The short answer is a cracked LCD is not worth repairing.

Cracked screen on lg lcd tv small crack 6in up an 8in from right can still see picture ok but have a 1in white line running down from small impact area and a light grey 1in line across from impact area...

We have lines of coloured/pixilated blocks all down the screen of our LG LCD tv - do we need to get a new television or is it worth repairing?

No,not worth repairing,the lines of colors pixilated running down the screen, mean ur LCD Screen is damage.U or some one hitting the LCD screen with something very hard to cause this.LCD screen or any other screen,never cheap to replaced screen.Because screens pannels are limited produced,tv compannies will sale it to u same as a new tv.Even might cost more than a new one after part and labors.90% of the tvs are the screens pannels,so alway,never do anything to cause,any screens to be damage or to be broken.Ur tv only worth electronics salvage boards parts now.

Probably not, this sounds like a claim on the h o u s e ins but i don't recomend you do it as your premium will go up. If you have insurance that covers accidental damage then you will have to pay the excess. Get a quote first.
I don't think i can help you any further.

Cracked on Inside glass on 42in Plasma-Panasonic

This sounds like the panel itself is cracked. If this is the case, the set wil not completely power up as youi have seen. The panel can not be repaired as such, it must be replaced. I can rpovide you with the part number and cost if you can post the model number. Be aware however, that the cost of the panel may come close to the cost of a replacement set.

Yes,but this LCD screen crystal pannel is exspensive,check the new LCD TV in the store first,see if worth repair the LCD Screen crystal pannel.Tries these websites.Tv Repair World.com,Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com or Partstore.com for the part.

Broken Screen

most are. you need to open the lcd and get the model number from the back of the lcd itself. you will need manufacturer, model number and revision number.

if the glass is not cracked, you may simply need a new backlight.

No,LG will not warranty this.This tv have internal LCD screen panel membrain is damage.This problems it alway causes by somebody hitting it with something to the tv with great forces or tv falling off walls or tables tops.This tv only can be salvage for it tv electronic boards for parts,that it.The tv LCD screen panel are 90% important to the tv and it limited in production.By replacing the LCD screen panel,will cost the same as a new tv.

The set needs a new LCD if it looks cracked and swirly, the colors all run together in the area of the crack don't they! If it is cracked it can't be fixed. you can replace the lcd but I am not sure if a warranty will cover a cracked screen or not. You will need to contact LG and be very nice to them and see if they will honer the warranty on this.
