Hello...i have a samsung s3600i ...connected to gprs..i want to connect my phone to laptop to use internet on my laptop..i have installed samsung pc studio 7..but my cell is not detected through cable connection or by blue tooth...please kindy help me out..or i should use earlier version of samsung pc studio...

Manually configuring Docomo GPRS settings

Take TATA DOCOMO INTERNET' WAP profile in Settings:

In wap 2.0 phones[Nokia,Sony Ericson,samsung,L.g, Motorola etc] enter these additional gprs settings.

If you do not have a Nokia and Sony Ericsson phone, you'll need to set your phone manually with these details.

Browsing the Internet

TATA DOCOMO INTERNET works with any PC or Laptop that has Bluetooth or USB port for the cable.So after getting the settings save them and start browsing on your phone for free.But if you want to connect your computer to tata docomo internet gprs,you willl have to follow the given procedures.

Connect your phone to computer either via Bluetooth or data cable

• Install the PC suite software.

Whenever you buy a cell there will beCD to be installed in your PC . Install CD and then you can download fromPC>Mobile>PC. There is USB guardwire supplied with cell phone, connect it after CD installation.

Install your samsung software to PC and there is a option in the PC Suite that you can use yourmobile as a modem .Good luck

Simply installing PC studio is not all done.In your PC studio you will get a internet connector widget,use this for installing dial up connection.Before this You have to activate GPRS on your mobile and then using prorper access point you are ready to use internet from your mobile.This is tried and tested by me

I have got Sumsung S3500 phone with Vodafone Connection. I'm able to use net in the mobile using GPRS but when I tried to connect to internet from my PC (OS is Windows XP) through PC suite it gives me Msg "OS Error Message. Setup of Samsung i607 to Laptop Windows XP using Samsung USB Data Cable for GPRS


Prerequisite

Samsung i607 handset purchased through Cingular

Samsung USB Cable with accompanied software installed on the PC

User should be logged in as Administrator or have administrator privileges in the profile to modify system files

PC with available USB port



Setting up the handset

On the handset, press Start.
Scroll to Settings and press OK.
Scroll to More... and press OK.
Scroll to Connections and press OK.
Scroll to More... and press OK.
Scroll to USB and press OK.
Scroll right to Modem and press Done.


Setting up the modem

On the PC, connect the Samsung USB Cable from the side of the handset to the USB port on the PC.
Windows will detect and install a SAMSUNG CDMA Modem.
Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel and double click on Phone and Modem Options.
Click on the Modems tab.
Click to select the SAMSUNG CDMA Modem and click on Properties.
Click on the Advanced tab.
In the Extra initialization commands field, type at+cgdcont=1,"IP","isp.cingular"
Click on OK twice.


Setting up the connection

On the PC, return to the Control Panel.
Double click on Network Connections.
Click on the link to Create a New Connection.
A Network Connection Wizard will appear, click on Next.
Tick to select Connect to the Internet.
Click on Next.
Tick to select Set up my connection manually.
Click on Next.
Tick to select Connect using a dial-up modem.
Click on Next.
Check the box to select only the SAMSUNG CDMA Modem.
Click on Next.
For the ISP Name, type CNG GPRS.
Click on Next.
Type *99# for the Phone number.
Click on Next.
Enter [email protected] in the User name field.
Enter CINGULAR1 in the Password and Confirm password fields.
Check to select from the available options below and click on Next.
Click on Finish to complete the setup.


Making the connection

On the PC, return to the Network Connections folder.
Double click on the CNG GPRS icon.
Click on Dial.
You will now be connected to the Cingular GPRS Service

The blackjack is running AKU 3 of WM5, This allows for internet sharing on the device. Connect your phone with the USB cable, go to Start, Applications, File Explorer then navigate to the Windows folder. Open it up and scroll down to Internet Sharing ( press the letter L on the keypad a couple of times to get you close to it and minimze scrolling), Select OK once you're on Internet Sharing. Once opened, on PC Connection select USB. Then press the left softkey for Connect. That's it. Your PC should now be connected through your phone. There are no settings on you PC to mess with. This will work with a Bluetooth connection to the PC as well

ps: It will work for XP ...for Vista or any other OS i am not 100% sure

fistly u enable gprs connection on ur connection, aftr that u save ur gprs setting.

Now u install pc suit on ur system, & connect ur phone through cable. & enjoy

(I) 1)First pair the PC and your phone of course 2)After pairing, meaning the phone and the pc sees each other, go to your phone and look for the icon "internet sharing". 3)Choose bluetooth pan as you pc connection then press connect. So now your phone is on data connection via gprs, 3g or 3g+ 4) Then go to your pc now and go to My bluetooth places search for Network Access Point and enable it. It will turn green with arrows, meaning it has established a connection.TADA! Now you have internet connection using your i780s
(II) Do you have in your programs or settings a icon called Internet Sharing?
If so please connect to active sync first and then select the internet sharing icon.
Active sync will disconnect and your laptop will start using your phone as the modem.

connect your handset to usb cable. Double click on Nokia PC suite Icon, Click on connect--- click on settings --- chose service provider ---- airtel india.

click on connect. your internet will be started on pc.,
