Is the drum turning round. is it draining at end cycle ? if the motor is spinning is it slow at start turning left then right after a time or does it just spin when its on spin cycle ? can you hear a clicking sound when it about to move or hear a clicking sound and nothing moves ? if you hear a clicking but nothing is moving it could be the switch on the main board has worn out, it could even be the motor but if it does a spin it could just be the switch on the main board. they soldered in on the board you can replace them if you have soldering skills or would like to learn.

SOURCE: indesit w93 washing machine fills with water but doesn't start washing

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim

SOURCE: Washer fills up for rinse cycle put never actually spins

Hello, from the limited information I have this sounds like it's going to be a broken coupling. Kenmores are usually direct drive machines made by whirlpool, this means they don't have a belt. Instead the transmission is connected directly to the motor via a coupling. This is what a coupleing looks like: 0c6b869.jpg To confirm this pull the machine forward enough that you can lean it back and it will stand back under it's own weight. Wedge something underneath the chasis so it does not fall on you while your accessing the bottom. Go under the Machine and locate the motor, You will see the pump connected to the motor connected to the transmission. 1. Unplug the wire harness from the motor then. 2. Use a screw driver remove the 2 clips holding the pump in place and remove or push the pump out of the way. 3. You will need to remove the 2 screws from the brackets holding the Motor in place with a nut driver. 4. With a screwdriver remove the 2 clips holding the motor in place (be carefull to support the motor as the clips comes off) 5. remove the motor and drop it onto the floor. Now you will see the coupling..one side on the motor the other side on the transmission the rubber connector inbetween. Replace the coupling if broken or worn and reassemble the washer in reverse order. Now you should be all set. Be aware you may smell rubber on the first couple loads this is normal after replacing a coupling. Good Luck!! if you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Mike p.s Please remember to rate my solution since this helps me to help other people :) Thanks!
P.s Remember to unplug the power prior to servicing.

SOURCE: leaving detergent spots. the machine fills up with water washes drains leaves detergent spots on clothes

If you dissolve the detergent in a bucket of water before adding it to the clothes you wont get this problem.

It is possible that the water level sensor has failed and so does not detect to stop the inlet valve from filling. You can remove and check this level sensor normally it can be a damaged diaphragm and replace the same so that the program proceeds to the next stage to start the machinetips to see working of the machine;http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1392/how-a-washing-machine-works.html

You will need to remoe the drain hose and get teh link out, the drain pump/valve must be clogged or filled with dirt. use a goo d jet of water to remove clogging, try to power and see if this works . or else replace the unit.

Asko 12605 overheating the wash water

(even not taking in hot water when filling before the wash stage which seems good)

The washer fills with cold water then heats it up 3 degrees a min. Your problem does sound like a faulty thermostat. Especailly if the glass door does get hot even if it is on 85f.
