You need to set the subnet mask correctly on the machines so the machines can see traffic on both subnets. If DCHP is issuing the IP address of each subnet, it's also issuing the subnet mask. You should be able to configure both routers to issue a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0 and that would give your computers on either subnet visibility to both networks. Make sure to configure only one of these routers as the gateway and make sure both routers agree which one is the gateway to the Internet otherwise some of the computers won't have Internet access.

ok look in device manager down the list to your wireless card and see if it is listed, if so check that there is not a red cross on it, if so right click and select enable. if a yellow exclamation mark driver not recognised with card. If it is listed and you are unable to enable it restart the pc and press F2 or DEL to enter your bios and on the peripherals menu, see if the wireless controller(if it is built in card) is enabled. If non of the above works, then the code 10 would normally be refering to a faulty peice of hardware.

What I think is you unplgged them at the wrong times.
Do this:
(in this order)
Now tell me the errors, like if it says connection limited,etc...

After fighting with this for the last couple of hours I have my ipod touch working with the netgear DG834G(v3) router. The fix is a bit odd and I am not entirely sure why it works but I thought I would share and hopefully it might help you out …
First I think that the WEP encryption simply does not work between these two devices and causes some very strange behaviour – the WEP 'authentication type' setting I had on the 'wireless settings' page was set to 'shared key' – I flicked this to 'automatic' & strength to ‘128 bit’ - hit apply and finally I found I was able to connect without an error message (after inputting the correct WEP key). Unfortunately the DHCP did not work correctly after this and I kept receiving IP addresses in the range of 169.254.x.x (an internal default) rather than my networks expected 192.168.0.x range. The Ipod touch couldn’t find any DNS servers or connect to the internet.
To get round this I set the router ‘security options’ to use WPA instead (WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)) instead of WEP. Set the new WPA password at the bottom of the wireless settings page - again hit apply - and configured the ipod to use the new password and WPA PSK instead of WEP. This worked fine – although it does mean I have to change the settings on all my other wireless devices around the house!
The weird thing is that although the router isn’t using WEP encryption changing the 'authentication type' setting back to ‘shared key’ in the WEP menu breaks the WPA connection again – very odd? I blame netgear and their obviously crazy wep code :)
SOURCE: Netgear usb not getting IP Address
Hi,
I've just had a similar problem with my WG111T connecting to a Tiscali provided Thompson ST585 router.
My problem was that my WG111T was reportedly connecting OK to the router but that then the router would not assign an IP address to the PC.
I figured out the following - download the latest WG111T driver from Netgear (I used 2.1 from http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WG111T.asp).
Follow the instructions to deinstall your old driver and to re-install the new.
THIS IS THE IMP BIT. When the Netgear instalation process gives you the option to use the Netgear config - it;s marked as (recommended) then DO NOT pick this. Instead pick the std. Win XP config option.
This then meant that I could control the input of the security key myself.
This worked for me!
Why? Well i'm guessing here but I think it's to do with differences in WEP / WPA-KSP.
Anyway hope that helps

check for firmware update for your adapter...since it usb..u need to put it in open..i believed the USB extension is included when u purchased that.
do not connect the USB adapter to a USB hub unless the HUB is powered so that it can performed better. Connect it directly to your PC slot
