Pentair minimax nt propane heater is blowing black smoke

is heater installed in a shed? how many btu's is your heater. You need 1 square inch per 1000 btu's for combustion air opening. Lack of combustion air will cause heater to under fire and produce carbon dioxide

Heater starts runs for 10 min then smoke comes out. then raw kerosene is in unit and starts fire in the air box area.

Can you tell if it has a glow coil ignitor or if its Spark
ignition??

If its a glow coil, you could have a problem on the control board or if it has a thermostat make sure it is
turned all the way up and the ignitor is glowing. If it
glows and goes out after firing that explains the smoke. Usuall they are either good or broke. Check
the air filters in the back. Make sure fuel line is
air free and that the blower motor is pushing air
out of a plastic hose that goes into the nozzle
assembly.

My Dyna Glo heater forced air heater worked great last year. I run it on Diesel and ran it empty before putting it away for the summer. Went to fire it up and it wouldn't work. Replaced all of the cracked...

the filter in the tank line is partially clogged with gel from useing diesel fuel you should really use a anti gel agent when running a sulphur type fuel in a unit designed for white gas/ keosene

Ready heater forced air runs few minutes then shuts off

Sounds like a full services like its getting too much air,and blowing out the flame. Check your fuel filter, and add a new spark plug ,also change the vanes on the pump, thus aFuu service. these sould be performed every fall before .

I have an older reddy heater pro 100 kerosene space heater,

You Must set the pump pressure quickly! If allowed to run with the nose cone a "bright" cherry red the welds will deterioate to the point that the end will separate from the combustion chamber. Individual sheet metal parts of the chamber are not available.

Learn how to properly set the air pump pressure

Runs a few minutes and quits

hi this could be 3 problems ? no spark so vapour not igniting so excess vapour coming out as smoke, if it ignites stays on for a while goes out the flame probe is faulty, fuel filter is blocked needs new one , the fuel pipe going into tank has a non return vavle in it ( its a plastic ball in line with pipe ) if this is missing or stuck it allows fuel to drain back into tank and causes a air lock in heater causing vapour into chamber result in smoke coming out of end, as a quick fix for that you can fill pipe with fuel bend it so its traps in fuel like fire place pipe in tank when stopping fire stick mole gripps on pipe so next time fuel is there ready

Sears forced air kero heater wont start, spitting fuel out front

sounds like the ignitor is bad, mine would try to light and do the same thing. I noticed one night that it was arcing out the entire length of the wires to the plug. If you have a good spark then i would suggest a CAD flame sensor, very cheap.
