My windows alwyas restart & recovery bios

Please backup the data by logging in to Safe Mode, please restart and start pressing F8 key to select Safe Mode then re-install the Windows 7 Operating System using the Recovery Disc or recovery Partition of the Hard Drive. The Recovery Partition can be accessed by restarting the computer and try pressing F10 Key. The Windows XP Operating System is displaying an error because it does not have SATA Driver to detect the Hard Drive. As Windows 7 has it, you can re-install it from recovery partition.

To resolve the issue, Please perform the following steps:

Step 1: BIOS Reset

To reset the BIOS defaults, follow these steps:

1. Restart the computer and press F2 (F10 in some Notebooks) as soon as the HP logo appears.
2. Go to Exit menu and select Load BIOS defaults or press F9.
3. Go to Exit menu and select Save changes and Exit or press F10.

This will reset the BIOS defaults. Now, when the Notebook restarts, press F8 repeatedly until the start up menu appears. Select the Safe Mode and press Enter Key to enter in Safe Mode and then perform the step 2.

Step 2 : Disable the "Automatically Restart" under System Failure:

1. Click Start, right-click the My Computer icon, then Properties.
2. Click the Advanced tab, then Settings in the Startup & Recovery section.
3. Remove the check mark next to Automatically Restart under System Failure.
4. Click OK to close the Startup and Recovery window, then click OK to close the System Properties window.
5. Restart the computer.

Step3: Reinstall Power management

To reinstall Power Management in Windows XP, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, select Control Panel, and then choose Performance and Maintenance.
2. Click the System icon to open the System properties window.
3. Select the Hardware tab and click Device Manager.
4. Click the plus (+) sign next to System Devices.
5. Right-click the ACPI Fixed Features button and select Uninstall.
6. Restart the system.

On restarting the system, Windows will automatically detect and install Power Management on the computer.

Were you installing Windows when this first occurred? If so, are you reloading via pressing a key on the keyboard (recovery partition) or with an actual XP disc that matches your version?

I think that I would load via a CD, delete any or all existing partitions including the recovery partition, and do a clean install if that's what you want to do.

If you'd like to recover your system without reinstalling Windows, boot with CD in(borrowed if you don't have one and probably don't have), choose to install (don't go to Recovery Console) accept the license agreement, Windows will search for existing installations, choose to repair Windows.

If it will not boot from CD, you'll have to change setting in BIOS (boot order) so that it will. Instructions should be easy to find to do that. You'll have to hit a key at sometime to boot from CD.

1. Boot to your XP CD, enter Recovery Console and run the command CHKDSK /R and see if that resolves
2. Run diagnostics on the HDD, it may be failing, replace HDD if diags fail
3. In-Place (Repair) reinstall of WIndows http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/install-reinstall-uninstall

sounds like you have ati graphics,make sure you are using the right driver,there are a lot of them,is there a graphics program in the add remove programs that you are forgetting about,,try uninstalling all the monitors in the device manager along with the display driver,if nothing works just boot to windows disc on restart using f12 or whatever key gives you the one time boot menu,and repair or reinstall xp,how are you planning to flash bios?be very carefull! if you cant even get windows to boot up,but you can still access the bios on restart,the bios arent your problem,its windows xp,try repair option first otherwise delete all partitions on hd,create new partition format and start fresh,good rule of thumb if the comptuer turns on and you can access the bios,then leave the bios alone!set them to factory default reinstall windows then when your up and running get the correct bios upgrade and flash good luck

if the system was able to enter the desktop and restarts...once possible cause is a virus...scan the pc via safemode or reinstall windows.

but if it didn't enter the OS desktop...cause might be the boot loader or MBR is damage..

3. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the installation that you must access from the Recovery Console.
4. When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
5. At the command prompt, type this commands one at a time.

FIXMBR C:
FIXBOOT C:
COPY [CDDRIVE]:\I386\NTLDR C:\
COPY [CDDRIVE]:\I386\NTDETECT.COM C:\
BOOTCFG /rebuild


6. To exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer, type exit at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.

Please mention your problem clearly....
If its BIOS password (when system boots it will ask for password) then shutdown the system and remove the COMS battery for 2 minutes which is present in the one of the corner of the motherboard.
If its user password (asking the user name and password) then you need to install a fresh copy of windows xp. to install a windows xp, Insert the XP bootable cd into the CD-ROM. Restart the system. Then the system will boot from cd. If its not asking to boot from cd then you need to change the settings on BIOS menu. When system restarts keep-on pressing the DEL or F2 keys or both. then it will take you to BIOS setup. there change the boot priority. Select first boot device as CD/DVD ROM. I think ur laptop webcam driver not installed properly.If ur laptop have windows vista operating system then do these steps.
Goto Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager.In that recovery manager,click on next.Its shows the Software reinstallation page.Click on next button two times.Its shows the software lists.Select the webcam software and click on next button.After reinstallation completed , u restart laptop and check it.
If ur laptop have windows XP operating system then u uninstall the webcam software through Add/Remove program and restart it.After restarting ,Reinstall the web cam software and check it.

seems your MBR is damage. but you can repair it if only you can boot in windows cd and entering in the recovery console.
