I have very recently purchased a 125/38" MTD. Not sure how old but appears in reasonable condition. I have used it for about total of 4 hours over past two weeks. Today I have a problem... the large belt driving the blades keeps disengaging as soon as I set the blade depth. I don't have a manual or much experience with ride ons so would appreciate any advice. By the way I have been careful when rewinding the blades onto the forward wheel not to place the pully over the two guide (?) pins. Also, when not engaged the pulley is very loose! Many thanks David

Did you try resetting the unit by disconnecting from the power for a few hours?

Hi, check the idler pulley arm and return spring on that belt. Its most likely not pivoting freely allowing the belt to loosen when you operate the clutch, regards Phil.

Take both back to dealer the battery or the 46spoe and charger have them to replace what is wrong if they will not blast them on every rating site there are.

Leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself

Make sure you have the correct code

The problem with these sets is you have to gamble.

If power outage, it is most likely on the power supply board-------only way to confirm this is test voltages to see if are there or not, do you follow me?

Fuses can look good but also need to be "tested".

MY MECHANIC HAS ALWAYS HELD TRUE TO HIS WORD SO I WAS CHARGED EXACTLY WHAT I HAD BEEN QUOTED. THEY BROKE OFF BOLTS , TORE UP TOOLS , AND EVEN HAD TO USE A CUTTING TORCH. MY ADVICE: GET THE LOWEST QUOTE FROM A GOOD MECHANIC , MAKE SURE THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR QUOTE AND LET THEM HAVE AT IT. HOPE THIS HELPS AND SAVES YOU A BIG HEADACHE!GOOD LUCK.
