Hi,

I'm assuming your Antenna is connected to your TV with a co-axial cable? If so, please make sure you have run the Analogue/Antenna/Air channel scan correctly:

1. Switch the TV on
2. Press the "MENU" button on the Curtis remote supplied with the TV.
3. Press the RIGHT arrow button five times to highlight the "Channel" menu
4. Press the "ENTER" button or the DOWN arrow once to open the "Channel" menu

The Air/Cable option should be highlighted.

5. Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons to set the "Air/Cable" option to "Air"
6. Press the DOWN arrow to highlight "Auto Scan"
7. Press the "ENTER" button or the RIGHT arrow once to start the automatic channel scan.

When the scan has finished, the TV should automatically return to viewing mode. If not, just press the "EXIT" or "MENU" button on the remote to close the menu.

You also need to make sure the correct INPUT/SOURCE is selected on the TV:

1. Press the "SOURCE" button on the Curtis remote
2. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to highlight "TV" in the INPUT SOURCE menu
3. Press the "ENTER" button on the remote to select "TV" and close the INPUT SOURCE menu.

This should be all you need to do to watch your TV from an antenna source.

Please post back if you are still unable to get it to work and need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

On my CPTOH-0603, i'm getting great picture but no sound. Just have antenna hookup directly. Would I need a receiver for the sound to come on? Or maybe not hooking it right.

the antenna is getting a good picture and as sound and picture are bound from transmission I am thinking that there is a problem in the sound board/ section of the tv

Need to know how to change and setup for use of antenna

Purchase your UHF/VHF antenna. The antenna can also be purchased at most electronic and retail stores. Consult your list from Step 1 and see how powerfulicon1.png the over-the-air signals are for your specific address. Purchase your antenna based on the broadcasting power you need to receive a clear picture on your TV. You might be able to get away with an indoor antenna if your signal strength is strong enough. If not, you'll need to purchase an outdoor antenna.

  • 4 Install your antenna (or have it done professionally) according to the building codes of your area. If you must use an outdoor antenna, it is a good ideaicon1.png to have the antenna professionally installed. This ensures that it is properly grounded on your roof, not too close to electrical wiring and stable during inclement weather.
  • 5 Hook the converter box up to your television using the cable that came with it (F Cable). Hook your antenna up to the converter Box. Turn on your TV and converter box. Tune your TV to channel 3 and press "Scan" on the digital convert box. Allow the box to scan for your available channels.
  • 6 View your picture and adjust your antenna accordingly for the clearest over-the-air feed. You should only need to make adjustments once. If you are having a difficult time getting a clear picture, use a signal strength indicator to see where you receive the most powerful signal.

I cannot get a picture on any channel. Not hooked to cable. No antenna. What is the problem?

    Hi,
Most of the TV sets have " Picture Mute" feature which means; if no signal exists on either Antenna plug or on Video input (RCA jack) no picture at all.Blank screen..no audio as well..all MUTED..
to test it ,play a DVD ,you must have pictures and audio together..
Use an antenna ( even a piece of plain cable will work ) ,and run "search" ,you must receive some TV channels thru AIR.

HD Hookup on Dish Network 2nd Location

In order for you to receive HD broadcasting you must have a HD-TV, otherwise you wont get the picture in HD. Also I should point out that you need to make sure that the signal itself is being broadcast in HD.

    Power but no sound

hook up the antenna at the back and try to tune-in to your favorite radio station.
read the description at the back of your rca rt2250, how to connect your antenna.
connect it properly and raise up the antenna, put it where the signal is good.
