Bearings are bad in the heater motor.Need price on parts

the fan motor berings seem bad. since peerless parts are extremely hard to find now, see if you can lube up the bearings with 3-in-1 oil . if they are oilless, you'll have to replace the whole motor. if you check the specs on the motor housing, grainger.com could probably find a decent replacement for you

try taking apart fan housing & look to see if fan blade is scraping the housing. next look to see if fan blade is secure to fan motor shaft.next look to see if fan motor bearings are worn egg shaped and try oiling fan motor bearings with sae 30.
somewheres amoung all this inspecting of the fan motor, you will find the cause of the problem and learn what new parts you may need to buy to fix it.

Sears has raised the price on that motor. It's $162.99 now. There is a 99% chance that you really only need new bearings, not the whole motor. They fail regularly in smoky, noisy, horrible manner. You can buy a better quality bearing here: http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/6200-2RS10-1. The original ZZ bearing is a "shielded" bearing. These RS replacements are "sealed". The difference means sawdust powder no longer gets trapped under the shield to destroy the bearings.

Pull off the pump and clean it out.
The noise could be sediment build up causing pump rotor to make noise.
Noise could also be bad bearing or bad rotor.
Noise could be air bubbles in the line.
Once pump motor begins to slow, no mater what the cause, it overheats and begins to burn out.
Many times, once a motor has slowed, it never recovers and spirals downhill and stops working.
There are no repair parts for recirculation pumps.

The bearings are bad. No need to keep oiling them. You're going to have to replace the motor. We get a bad one like that too from time to time. Just take your lumps and change it out, Chances are you wont have to deal with it for many many more years to come. Sorry about your bad luck.

Have you considered checking to see if the fan motor might just need cleaning and lubricating?
Most small fans and heaters, have small fan motors, in which the bearings have dried out over the years. If you have made an electrical check on the motor leads-- and you have electric going into the windings, likely the motor feels warm? (If not-- possibly a bad splice where the supply wire attaches to the tiny armature wires?-- check , and check continuity)

If you want to tear into the fan motor, and clean up and lubricate the bearings-- here are some tips:

First you need to get inside the heater of the fan housing-- by removing the protective covers.
Note the screws, sizes, locations, and how the protective covers will go back on when you are ready to reassembly-- Mark where the screw holes are that line up with the matching other parts.

Then remove the motor from it's bracket (Possibly have to remove the fan first?)
You will have to remove the fan, to lubricate both front and real bearings.
Next you will need to remove the 4 long screws that hold the motor frame together-- Be sure to mark the original alignment, so you can reassembly correctly.

Now, with the fan removed, gently separate the Front and rear half's of the motor. Usually the windings will stay with the portion of the motor wher the wires are still attached. Either way, you are going to have to get the bearings to slide off both Shafts of the armature-- without breaking the delicate winding wires-- the wires are hair thin on small motors!

Now clean up the caked on residue on the shaft where the bearings ride, with rubbing alcohol. Clean up the internals of the bearings as best you can- making sure the pores of the oil-lite bearings are not plugged with solids. Now begin the gentle process of getting the bearing wicking to soak up new oil. When you are sure the reservoirs are well saturated, then generously lubricate the shafts, and slip them thru the bearings again-- retracing all your steps above, The motor shaft should turn freely now. You can test the motor without the fan on-- to be sure you have the motor itself reassembled properly.

Double check all the splices, switches, and any high temperature limit switches for continuity-- and trace the wiring all the way back out thru the power supply cord.

Fans, like wheels have bearings. The bearing are probably wore out, and loose now. You can pick up a fan for this at a junk yard for cheaper than a brand new one - price new one as well though just as a safe measure and for comparison purposes.

Grainger had a wide variety of bearings ... usually, they have a price spread for bearings depending on the quality of the bearing. I just ordered a $10.00 bearing for my $50.00 sander. They offered the same size bearing from another manaufacturer for $75.00. I didnt buy that one.

You might have the blower wired incorrectly or a bad blower. Also make sure the hose is connected to the blower and pressure switch.
