We bought the refrigerator in 1999 and have had no trouble until last week. I first noticed the ice very small when accessing the door for cubed ice. I opened the door and the ice had been melting down the front of the freezer and refreezing at the bottom. My husband came home much later from work and pulled it away from the wall. The next day when I came home from work, it was working again. It worked fine until Saturday morning and did the same thing. I had a thermometer in the fridge side and it read 68 degrees. Bottom of freezer was really cold but nothing was freezing. This am which is Sunday, it is working again and cooling properly. We are baffled and if you could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
