The motor is easy, just pull off the plastic hubcap with a flat head screwdriver, then remove the nut and bolt with a 13mm wrench, then pull off the wheel and gearbox and disconnect the wires from the motor then its just two screws that hold the motor on, for the circuit board it depends on wether you got the new style with the poly switches on the board or if they are seperate

SOURCE: do I need to replace all tires on peg perego john deere

Hi!
On these, only the 2 rear wheels are the gear wheels. You will just need to replace the tires on those with the rubber ones if you choose to go that way.  Good luck!

My sons 800 sportsman twin runs for a few minutes and stops. after waiting for a bit it runs again and starts all aover again

The Peg Perego sportsman twin 800's are overheating the protection module. After it cools, it works again. They know about the problem and admitted it. Under warranty they just shipped me a new poly switch, a new mainboard and TWO new motors WITH gearboxes for free. (Mines 6 months old). Working on installing the parts now. It is NOT a battery problem but something to do with the 24 volt motors overloading the electrical system.

How do you bypass override switch on Peg per ego polaris Sportsman 800 twin? It keeps shutting off the vehicle.

Hey, I found the manual here: http://us.pegperego.com/admin/archive/manuals/polaris%20800_FIUS0802G120_IGOD0510.pdf.

If you're talking about the low and high speed settings, it says there is a screw on the side of the pedal, it's on page 5 steps 51 and 52.

There have been shut off problems with this device that the customer service suggests is due to the battery.  From what I read there are no override switches for this.  I hope this helps.

This 800 sportsman will run for a few minuetes then quit! The battery is putting out plenty of volts.26.8 to be exact. How do you fix this? I bet Peg pegro does not have a fix for this.I do-Can you say...

The polaris 800's have a known issue with the thermal switches over heating, then they cut out after 10 minutes then after you wait about 5 minutes they come back on. Peg perego has a replacement kit with contains a new circuit board, thermals switches and two new 350 watt motors, I personally have replaced about 15 of them, its a pretty simple process

I have a peg-perego sportman 800\r\nand i can't go

In high gear only 1 wheel will turn. Remove the wheel that does not turn and lift the motor. Look for a lose wire and reconnect it to the motor (it pops off the post). re-assemble and it should work just fine

How do I change the motor in a sportsman 700? I just ordered a new battery and motor? Is the battery charged when i get it?

When I buy my peg perego batteries from http://www.shopjandl.com/ they always come with a charge.
The peg perego motors on the polaris models are taken off after the rear wheels are removed. My Grandkids have 2 of these and they are always running when they visit me so I have had to replace them a few times.
hope this helps
