I have a Remington electric pole saw and the switch has gone bad. The Model# on the pole os RPS96. Can you help me find a switch for it. Otherwise the saw works great as I attach a cord directly to the saw, however the saw is running continuously.
I also have a remington pole saw that has hardly been useed and yet the switch on the pole will not work. Where can I get another switch?I also have a remington pole saw that has hardly been useed and yet the switch on the pole will not work. Where can I get another switch?

From looking at the breakdown, it looks there are replacement parts for
the chainsaw but no replacement parts are listed for the pole . The
switch on the pole is what I need. I wonder if the switch on the saw
would work on the handle?

Typed "RPS96" into the "Model #:" window, then clicked search.
Clicked the RPS96 - 8 Ft. Electric Telescoping Pole Saw"View Model" link.
Clicked "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" I think you want item 7, 107551-01, Pole Saw Assembly
Clear the "Model #:" window; type “107551-10” (coupling nut) in the “Search for your parts by Part#:” window and click search. NLA (Internet search for “Remington 107551-01 also NLA at every site that lists it.)
There is also a part number "111304-01" (thumb latch) depending on the pole you have installed. It is NLA at Remington but appears to be available at "Master parts"
If this is also NLA, try an Internet search for "Remington YourPartNumber". eBay may be your only source.
RemingtonPower has stopped production, Replacement parts are mostly exhausted. Eventually every part will be NLA. I worked fairly hard to provide this answer. It is a very thorough answer and it is not fair to punish me if you are unhappy with Remington. Good Luck HTH Lou
Type "YourModelNo" (RPS96) into the "Model #:" window, then click search.
Click the YourModelNo - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" link.
There are 8, 10, 12 and 14" chains on the IPB depending on the actual model pole saw. RemingtonPower is no longer in production, and parts are often difficuilt to find. All 4 chains listed are available and range form $12.92 to 15.95 plus shipping and handling. You can take your saw (or just the chain) to a local saw outlet and have one fabricated in about 5 minutes. It is rarely more expensive at a local outlete and you save shipping and handling fees. RemingtonPower has ceased production. Parts availability is limited to what is on hand. If these aren't your saw provide the correct model number and we'll try again. HTH Lou
Your pole saw is at the bolttom of the page here: http://www.desaparts.com/remington-chainsaw.html
The parts list that appears is a chainsaw. Please phone them @ 1-800-475-5660, ask for assistance and explain this little glitch. Thanks HTH

You've got the one version of the Remington Pole Chain saws that doesn't have a separate parts breakdown online.
However, here's a owners manual for your pole saw and a parts breakdown that can be used for most replacement parts, as the RPS-96 is a similar version of your model.
