I have poor color and when the screen is dark many red green yellow dots dancing all over on my LG 42 PX5D

Hi:
You may have a problem with the inverters in the unit, they are responsible for lighting up the back panel. Check or have checked the power supply voltage to the inverters, should be around 18-24 volts DC. Also leaky capacitors on the power supply will cause this issue as well as leaky or puffy capacitors on the inverter.

Try backstepping the set resolution on your TV to see if that cures it.

If the dots are red and green, that's normal. Just enjoy your hd picture. actually, I think the dots make it look clearer. The only time I can really see them is when the screen is black.

This is a "mal-discharge" fault & will need either an adjustment on the Y-Sustain board or a software update to the control board. Contact your LG dealer to arrange someone to sort this out for you.

ask ur service provider and ask him to change ur revolution or ask him to change ur sreen

lg70 nice tv excellent processor just to bad there is no intensity control on color management oh well still better than what the three s are pushing block out the hype lg will be number 1 in a few years haters are starting to come around and well leds coming,

Most times this can be corrected by the correct alignment of the diffusion. The unfortunate part is that will require a tech that knows how to set all of the power supply voltages and then align the diffusion pots on the ysus pwb. This could mean a defective ysus bd. but most times the alignment will correct this problem.

Check the lumans circuit. may be jungle IC

The dancing spots can be sorted by you taking the back panel off and adjusting the va and vs adjusting nobs , you will need a multimeter so you you can adjust the voltage to the right settings that are on a sticker on the back of the panel. You must remember to connect the black pointer to the earthed wire to get and the red to the live wire that has va or vs at the end of it. The right voltage measurements will be be found on a sticker at the back of the panel.
I advise you not to touch the setup and setdn nobs as these are factory settings and should not be touched.
If the va and vs do not sought the problem then try the vy and vsc adjusting nobs but only touch those if the va and vs does not fix your problem first.
Once you have done everything right your tv should be better then before with clearer pictures.
