The online mood of 2k9 is known to have a lot of problems. Theres nothing you can do to fix it. Its even possible that the servers are shutdown considering its such an old game now. (Sports games are consider old after 1 year.)

there might be some problem with your disk or game played either it might be from a unauthorised site so it freezes ...if nothing happen with other disk u can check with the cd u used..u can even try this site to solve the problem..
