NUMBER 800 is your water valve. It has 2 solenoids. One for water and one for ice. I suspect your ice solenoid is on the blink. It could also be dripping slowly like a faucet and clogging like a stalagmite the ice maker fill nozzle. The only other thing in the ice box that controls that water valve is the ice maker itself. if the water valve is ok then the ice maker ain't getting the power to that water valve solenoid.

How do I "Prime the Water Supply System" refereed to in use and care guide that came with my new Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer, #253.70413411. Cannot find instructions in the manual only reference to...

Assuming you followed the water line installation directions and you have water available to your new refrigerator/freezer here is the rest of the "priming" info you requested. (basically it tells you how to run a bunch of water through the system by filling cups or glasses to remove any debris and/or air...

Automatic Ice & Water Dispenser
Priming the Water Supply System
1. Begin filling the tank by pressing and holding a drinking glass against the water dispenser paddle. 2. Keep the glass in this position until water comes out of the dispenser. It may take about 1½ minutes. 3. Continue dispensing water for about three minutes to flush the system and plumbing connections of any impurities (stopping to empty the glass as necessary).
Ice Maker Operation & Care After the refrigerator is installed properly and has cooled for several hours, the ice maker can produce ice within 24 hours. The ice maker will fill the ice bin from the rear. You must dispense some ice to force the ice forward in the bin. This will allow the bin to fill completely.
Turning the Fresh Food Ice Maker On and Off Ice production is controlled by the ice maker's On/Off icon on the control panel. Press and hold the "Ice Off" icon for three seconds to turn the ice maker "ON" or "OFF". The ice maker is turned off when the LED above the "Ice Off" icon is illuminated.
Using the Ice Maker after Installation Before making ice for the first time, be sure to prime the water supply system. Air in new plumbing lines can result in two or three empty ice maker cycles. Furthermore, if the system is not flushed, the first ice cubes may be discolored or have an odd flavor.
CAUTION
For proper dispenser operation, recommended water supply pressure should fall between 30 psi and 100 psi. Excessive pressure may cause water filter to malfunction.
NOTE The water dispenser has a built-in device that shuts off the water flow after three minutes of continuous use. To reset this shutoff device, simply release the dispenser paddle.
IMPORTANT On occasion, unusually small ice cubes may be noticed in the bucket or in dispensed ice. This could occur in normal operation of the ice maker. If you start seeing these more frequently, it may be an indication of low water pressure or the water filter needs to be replaced. As the water filter nears the end of its useful life and becomes clogged with particles, less water is delivered to the ice maker during each cycle. Remember, if it's been six months or longer since you last changed your water filter, replace the water filter with a new one. Poor quality household water may require the filter to be changed more frequently.
IMPORTANT Your ice maker is turned on at the factory so it can work as soon as you install your refrigerator. If you cannot connect a water supply, set the ice maker's On/Off icon to Off and turn off the water supply valve; otherwise, the ice maker's fill valve may make a loud chattering noise when it attempts to operate without water.
Hope this helps. Randy

I have a whirlpool model ED25PWXBN00 refrig and the ice maker is making ice but the part that holds and dispenses the ice has broken and no longer dispenses ice. what part do i need?

That depends if the ice maker continues to fill with water or just sits there with the ice slots empty. Sometimes it is the dual water control valve=> 4318046 Water Control Valve
and sometimes the ice maker itself. Does not hurt to have an extra part of each if you are a ice user like myself. If ice slots are empty fill with tap water and allow to freeze. If the ice drops and slots do not refill with water then replace the dual water control valve. 4317943 Ice Maker Assembly.

I have a Maytag Plus side by side with Ice maker and water dispenser in the door. I have replaced both water valves and still cannot get water to the ice maker. The water to the water dispenser in the door...

First you need to make sure the ice maker works. One way to test it is to manually put water into the ice maker and wait a few hours and see if it pushed the ice out. If it did not you need to find out why the ice maker does not work. There are many reasons for that; that would be a new chapter. If the ice maker does dispense the ice but does not turn on the valve you would need to find a loose connection. There is a way to test the "water fill" after removing the ice maker, but it is a little tricky. Then also, sometimes the fill tube inside the freezer freezes; that is another problem al together.

My icemaker has stopped receiving water

it sounds like your water valve is bad. you have a double water valve - one side operates the ice maker and the other side operates the water dispenser. the ice maker side of the valve is bad.

you can manually pour a little water in the ice maker ice mold and wait an hour or so - if it dumps the ice then you know for sure that the ice maker is cycling and water is not getting to the ice maker from the water valved

the ice maker is in control of the valve, however, the valve is one assembly containing the valve for the water dispenser and the one for the ice maker, take your model to the appliance parts store and get you a water valve assembly for your model number.

No water to ice maker but there is to the water dispenser in the door. Whirlpool model ED22PQ

This could be two reasons. The water control valve that sends water to the ice maker or the ice maker is not sending the signal to the water control valve to send water to ice maker There are 2 valves on back of your refrigerator one for ice and the other is for the dispenser. If ice maker is empty then the signal should be sent to back control valve and 120 volts should open the valve for about 4 seconds. If that valve is bad nothing will happen. You can test the ice maker by filling with tap water and if it cycles until time to refill and no water fills the tray then I think the water control valves need replaced. Click on link below and enter your model number in model search feature. Let me know what you find, Sea Breeze

Kenmore Ice Maker

Sounds like a water valve problem to me. Force the ice maker to cycle. (turn it off and let it get cold for at least an hour then turn it back on). Test for voltage on the ice maker side of the valve. The valve is usually in the back near the floor. Just follow the water line. Another solution. switch the wires on the water valve. then try the water dispenser and see if it makes the ice maker fill up. See if when the ice maker cycles water comes out the door. If the ice maker causes water in the door , replace the valve, If door switch causes ice maker to fill up replace ice maker again.
