I have KitchenAid food processor KFP750. I need to replace shaft sleeve. I was able to remove the old one. How do I install the new one? Can I do it myself or do I need to take it to the service center. Reason for removing old sleeve: Sleeve got fused with the multi-purpose blade. I would really appreciate your feedback.

Have you tried heating the sleeve with a torch and then sliding it on?

SOURCE: How to remove motor shaft sleeve from KitchenAid

I just did this. I used a screwdriver and some needle-nose pliers to wedge and separate the shaft from the base. Once you've separated it by about 1/2 inch, it will come off easily. I simply used a mallet to install the new one.

SOURCE: attachment stuck on shaft of food processor

put the mixing bowl up as much as possible. spray some wd40 into the groove between the attachement and the motor shaft. Wait for several minutes, then with a hammer and a piece of wood, give the bowl a good wack. With a few goes, it will gradually come off. I will be putting some butter inside the attachement from now on to keep it lubricated

How do I remove my cracked support bearing on my Kitchenaid food processor 1333?+

Do you mean the bearing on the motor shaft within that circular plastic ring that moves up and down when moving the slicing thickness lever? If yes then a couple of screwdrivers under it one on each side to lever it up. At the same time it will force the black shaft sleeve up and off the motor shaft.

Spindle jammed on the stem

The motor shaft sleeve and spindle will need to be replaced, once this jamming has happened it becomes ongoing if you do not replace those inexpensive parts. You need to wrap some webbing tightly around the spindle attach the other end to something very solid (like a fence post) and then accelerate the motor part rapidly away from the post. Hold onto the motor very firmly or it will land on the ground. The webbing tightens instantly when it runs out of slack and the spindle will come off. Then you need to remove the motor shaft sleeve in a similar manner, I drill a hole in the end and use a shackle and chain attached to the post for that one. I use the leg of my workshop bench, most folks will not have a solid heavy bench like mine. If that sounds too hard just take it to your local K/A service agent, they will have done it many times.

Can't remove the container from the motor housing

It will be the blade holding the bowl on. The blade has become locked onto the motor shaft, in the end you are going to need to replace both. Take it to a K/A service agent.

The spindle (middle thingie) is broken

I don't know about the little lip you're referring to, but the central spindle that comes up from the base of our KitchenAid 12 cups food processor KFP750WH0 splintered and broke while we were using it. We ordered a replacement motor sleeve shaft part number KA8211849 from the Gourmet Depot for $4.95 plus $3.50 s/h. Removing the broken plastic sleeve shaft was the difficulty; it isn't glued or screwed on but somehow it didn't want to be pulled, pried, or cut off. With the help of our neighbor fix-it man and all four of us working at it with screwdrivers, we got the old broken part up and off. Pushing the new one onto the metal motor shaft was easy, and it was fixed!
