The Kodak 5300 aio is as unique as a '83 Buick Diesel I once owned. Only difference is it can't jump on a tow truck each time one passes by. Unleashing this abortion on the consumer is as sinful as was G.M. After two new print heads, hours of
frustration, and utilizing all known cuss works, I am finally carrying it out to the trash. Fingers are now crossed hoping the trash collector will accept it. &*^%&*. Shame on you Kodak.
Solution is.....buy any other brand of printer if you want peace of mind. [email protected]

Wont download drivers
Are you using the correct driver for eg xp or vista.If so put the cd in the drive first,follow the instructions do not plug the printer in until the software tells you.

GO TO CONTROL PANEL AND CHOOSE ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS AND UNINSTALL DRIVER AND REINSTALL DRIVER AGAIN, YOU MAY GET SOLUTION.

Drivers for 5300 all in one printer wont install
Remove first the whole software from the Control Panel, then run the Clear Utility of Kodak located at this site
www.kodak.com/go/clear
Then try reinstalling the printer, make sure that the printer is unplug until the installation wizard prompted you to do so.

Kodak Easyshare 5300 printer drivers doesn't have Home Center
Re-download from here:

http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=9106&product=EKN033540&operatingSystem=mac_os_x_10_5_x

Make sure you download the "KODAK All-in-One Printer Software (including drivers) for all 5000-Series and ESP-Series Printers" and not the "firmware".

Select to install all drivers (should be the default). Reattach the Kodak.

I cannot scan on my easyshare 5300 It only scans halfway and then freezes. We have Windows Vista. Is that the problem?
NO . It should not be a VISTA problem as it has a VISTA driver available. Have you tried reinstalling the software and driver?

Install disk for kodak 5300 all in one printer
if you dont have the disk, you can call to this kodak technical support hotline 1-800-421-6699
and you can tell them that you lost you CD installer
but if you want to install the drivers and software eventhough you dont have the CD installer, you can go to the kodak website to download the drivers installer www.kodak.com/go/drivers
