SOURCE: DCS 4 burner plus griddle Range..oven doesn't heat
This happened to my DCS when the Hot Wire Relay went out. It isn't an expensive part, but finding someone that knows what needs to be replaced, and then can replace it is hard. My oven also did the opposite and continued to heat without shutting off, and it was once again the hot wire relay.

If you just bought it, have it replaced, or repaired under warranty. If it is an old oven, replace the temp probe first (if it electric) It senses the temp inside oven, It is the least expensive part of the fix. If that doesn't work, replace thermostat/temp control board. When you replace a board, you replace the probe too. It will be needed either way. If just changing the probe works, you saved yourself some money.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
This indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
