I've had this same issue! My Wacom Cintiq 12WX tablet has been having this "Signal out of Range" issue all of the sudden with my Mac OSX Laptop. I've bought and tried new DVI cables and everything, but it still seems to persist. So, I tried out the VGA cord with my dad's old PC. Works fine. I've even uninstalled the tablet and reinstalled the software. Still nothing. Please, please please help!

Hi 13ambreuer

"Signal out of Range"
is a problem between the graphics card, monitor, motherboard or graphics card port.
if you have to do troubleshooting on the monitor and display card, proved no problem to it. This means that the problem now is the motherboard and graphics card port.
(But should remember, problems ram, power supply and processor also causes the same error) * Sometimes *)
mean here you have to do the troubleshooting on all hardware on your computer

thnks&regards

Wacom cintiq 12wx calibration

I had a similar issue using the 12wx with a 15" MacbookPro Retina. Screen displayed the desktop way too much to the left. I found that the refresh rate of 59.8 hertz seemed to not be compatible despite it automatically being set. After changing this to 74.9 Hertz, the desktop is now properly centered on the Wacom screen and can be calibrated now. Not sure if this applies to Windows machines but perhaps something to keep in mind.

After repeated tablet cable connection checks and re-installing the Wacom tablet driver software, the tablet calibration window displays: "USB Tablet not found". Re-started my computer (Mac)...

The unit seldom has these kind of issues especially with mac computers. If it were windows then such would have been a normal phenomenom but with a mac then the issue is peculiar. First what you should do is try to trace all components of previous driver for the tablet on the PC and delete all components from the PC. Next get a new USB cable for connecting the tablet to the PC. This is usually done for trouble shooting purposes. after deleting all components restart the PC and then install fresh driver for the unit. Feed me back with the outcome of these activities.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Wacom Cintiq 12WX

I had the same problem with the "signal out of range" box in the middle of the screen. I went to Display on Control Panel and clicked the Settings tab. Click the monitor icon for the Wacom tablet in the window (if you are using more than one monitor) and set the screen resolutioin to 1280 by 800 pixels. The "signal out of range" box disappeared.
