Assuming the battery is fully charged, the shaft could be dry, purchase a WD-40 pen, they have a magic marker type tip that dispenses controlled amounts of lube by pressing the tip on a surface to get a drop then use a toothpick to put a small amount on the rotor shaft top and bottom. I did that to mine and the shaft spins a lot smoother. Mine always lifted off with no problem, but it got the gitters and and would drop a few feet now and then. after I oiled the shaft the gitters went away. Give it a try. John.
