Have a kenmore 4 t and i am getting f11 code what can i do

if its a Kenmore model then this message says that the button control board has lost sight of the main control board , but its been my experience that this maybe able to be reset and it may never come back or it will not reset and the control board will need replaced (50/50)

Troubleshooting and Repairing the F11 Error Code in Whirlpool Duet Washer

After years of suffering from random F11 that became a permanent F11, I did the repair as in the video and all is good for 2 years. No more F11. About one load a day (we have kids!)

unplug unit and wait a few min's then plug it back in it should clear the codes

F11 Serial communication error
Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the
Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly.
Possible causes/procedure:
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and
Central Control Unit (CCU).
3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components.
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any
cycle.

The symptoms are pretty specific for the F11 code on the Whirlpool Duet front loaders and clones (Kenmore Elite and KitchenAid):

If the washer starts to fill but the drum NEVER moves, your MCU is bad

If the washer runs through most of a cycle and then gives the F11 before (or during) a rinse or spin cycle, then you have the CCU relay problem.

My f11 code is repaired! I got a clamp from Home Depot put it on the ccu unit on the right side tightened it shut and haven't got the stinking f11 code ever since. No more banging it again! I can finally do my wash without the horror beeping sound going off every time.

F11: Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply
power.
If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC.

Kenmore Elite HE3T washing machine error code F28, what does this mean?

Plug off the wall. Shaking & vibration of your washer causes circuit board connections to become loose; due to faulty manufacture. Remove the 3 or 4 screws from the back & take off the top cover to secure the connections, make sure they are tight. This applies for the F11 & F dl codes. Works for certain machines, dont see why it wont for yours.
