I have a GE side by side (model PSC23NGMD) and was told during a recent GE service call to replace the water tank. I ordered one but would like to have the instructions before starting the replacement.
The current water tank has been frozen and is cracked. We have had nothing but problems with the water dispensing; ice maker works great.
please point me to the online instructions... thank you.

I have the same problem, my water tank was cracked and i replace it. all you need to do is first shut of the water valve. then open the front panel by unscrewing it. you'll see there is a pipe running toward back of the refrez. you'll also see there is a connector between two pipes. unscrew it by pushing that white tab and pulling the pipe back. go back of the frez. and you'll see two pipes running down from the frez. one is going in front of the frez and another connecting to the little pump. unhook that by pussing the white tab and pulling the tube. push both of the tubes back into the frez and pull them out. Pull the wind deflactor that is attached to the tank by pulling it up, it should snap off. unscrew the tank and screw the new one in. make sure the longer tube goes in the front and the little one goes in the back. to connect the tube just firmly put it into the connector.
Problem: by replacing the water tank is not the solution, the problem is that the pipe that runs to the water dispancer getting frozen. you have to open the door and insulate the pipe so it does not get frozen. I don't know how to do that so i'm still searching. hope this helps.
