On a front load washer -Gallery FWT449GFS1-It will not tumble with just a few items inside. Will work right with 2 towels no more. is the motor coupling slipping? Is it changable from the front by removing the lower panel?

turn down the water pressure on the water line to the washer if the water pressure is to high it will splash out of the filler. there should be a vale on the main water line to the washer.

at the very bottom on the front panal you will find two screws, take those out, the panal will drop out of place
rith there on your right, you will see the pump
put down a few towels
disconnect the hoses and make sure the pump and motor are clear

the belt is broken.or the motor is out on the barrel.need a repairman

remove bottom access panel(2 screws on each corner of bottom)look on rt side,you will see pump with a rubber boot and clamp connecting them together.bail water out of tub and remove clamp on pump and clamp on drain.there will be some water,have some towels handy.remove connector(2wire electrical connection).you will see 2 5/16 screws holding pump down onto base(remove)look inside impeller and remove item jamming it and reinstall.if there is nothing in pump,replace it..good luck

Front load washers have an auto water level determined by the weight of the clothes placed in the washer.
If that sensor is malfunctioning the washer may not run !
Unfortunately I think that its time to spend $75. and have a trained GE laundry tech with hands on diagnostic experience remedy the problem. Rather than you spending tons of your hard earned money swapping parts!

I understand this is not as complicated as a jet engine.
And you tried your best,but some times it is more
cost efficient to let a surgeon fix my hernia while I'm relaxed and under anesthesia, than try to fix it myself!
If My jet was broken, I would not risk flying it after I fixed the problem because I am an appliance man!
I would prefer my life in your hands with your expertise !

There is an obstruction in the drain pump. The only way to clear the obstruction is to remove the lower panel at the front by removing the 2 screws at the lower edge. This will allow the front panel to drop down. You will need to unplug the machine for the next part.

Now this will get a little messy... Be sure to have a lot of towels nearby to sop up the water. On the lower right hand side there is a pump with a black bellows attached which is also attached to the bottom of the tub. This black hose is clamped to the front of the pump if you unclamp the hose the remaining water in the system will spill out. You will have to reach inside the bellows and remove whatever obstruction is inside. some models will have a trap inside which may have to be removed from the top of the hose assembly by unscrewing the clamp on the bottom of the tub.

The hose will have to be reattached in the reverse manner. It can be quite tricky to do so... Once the machine is back together you can run a rinse and spin cycle, it should go into the full spin when all the water drains.

This procedure may have to be repeated a couple of times to completely remove all of the carpet fibres.

My wife reported the same problem and I took the top off the washer (2 screws at rear of washer and top slides forward) . Under the top on the left front side behind is the dispenser. On the top is a click adjuster similar to a clock hand pointer and in the center is a tick mark and off to the left side is (-) marks for reduced dispensing and to the right (+) marks for increasing dispensing. I moved the pointer all the way to the plus side and after a few loads the dispenser works fine. I assume over time the different fluids (fabric softener, detergent, etc) tend to gum up the valve mechanism. If this doesn't work I would try pouring some very hot water in it to try and loosen things up. After you try all the free thing, I guess the last option is a new dispenser.

I have a stacking Frigidaire washer/dryer. The dryer will not start at all.

The internal brush can be used to replace brush in similar holder on certain Electrolux, Frigidaire, and Kenmore washers (at least motor # 131276200).
