Why my camera is not working and why it is not working as i have already install my drivers

Seem like you PC don't recognised your camera. Have you install the camera driver ? the driver CD usually come with the camera package. If you already install the driver but you get this problem, re-install proper driver until complete/success to make your PC recognize your camera.

I would suggest "Un-Installing the camera. NOT THE DRIVER, then reboot and RE-Install it using the hardware installation wizard , letting Windows use the best driver.
MSI does not have a separate driver for your camera. It is part of a combination file on the page below.
On this first page the TAB for the camera driver says.........
"This device uses the native driver bundled in operating system."

Which means your driver is on the PC already in the Operating system.

There are several reasons why the integrated camera in your laptop is not working. Let me give you the most common reasons why and the necessary troubleshooting to fix the issue. You may want to try the steps below:

1. Webcam is disabled - To enable, press Fn + Esc. A camera icon will appear at the bottom right side of your screen. You might see another icon which is a camera with a slash at the middle this means camera has been disabled.

2. Webcam Software - Kindly check if you have the software for webcam installed in your PC. Software is YOU CAM. It might need to be reinstalled on the system. You may get the You Cam software from this link. Just look for Software and then choose You Cam which is compatible to your OS. Download it to your PC and install it.

3. Webcam Driver - Check if you have webcam driver in Device Manager. If there's none you can get the driver on the same link where the You Cam is. All you have to look for is Camera. Select the driver that's compatible to your OS. If there's already an existing camera driver it's also advisable to uninstall it and install the driver that you can get from the website.

If still camera will not work after doing the steps above you will need to contact Lenovo since this is already a hardware issue. Camera needs replacement.

ok, uninstall all related drivers to this camera,


Now using the supplied disk install the camera software but please do not connect the camera YET, if the camera is already connected,
remove the camera and reboot,

so you installed the camera software now plug the usb camera in, it will now detect the install camera software and work.

Did you try to check if the camera driver is already installed, If it is not install you need to install the driver so that it will be detected and working fine. You need to load the cd driver of your camera to the cd room, and install.

No need to install any driver as Vista already has driver for Sony DSC-W5, just hook up camera through USB cable with PC and Windows will recognize and install driver automatically.

Hi, You can try booting your Win98 PC with the camera already connected to the USB. Sometimes 98 has a hardtime detecting if and when a USB device is connected to it when it is already running. By booting with it already connected, 98 at the onset sees it and boots with all the needed support files. Further, by booting with the camera already connected, you can verify if drivers are really needed since 98 will auto detect with "New Hardware Found" message. It might just be that you have to reinstall the drivers all over again. Hope this be of some help to you. Pls post back how things are or should you need further information.
