Envision EN 5100 E with Dell Inspiron 530...

The monitor will work for a while. It will stay on for hours at the desktop, but when I open a file to work, the monitor will show "Input Not Supported" with black on the rest of the monitor. I have to reboot to get back to desktop. It will work again for a while before I get the message again.

Tried the Dell with another Envision H170L monitor and the message in the middle of the screen is "Out of Range" and the screen gets fuzzy.
What could be going on? I'm ready to return that Dell.
Thanks,
Lisa

You can try to reset your display settings... try 640x480 resolution 60Hz refresh rate this can be done in the control panel under display---settings tab..

good luck.if that doesn't work I would just return it and buy a viewsonic LCD here the price was just marked down from $260 to $130 bucks

first of alll, decide which screen you want, press button and then open paint program and then paste it here, you will see that screen on your pain program, or you can paste that in ms word also. then you know what to do, right?

Comp. powers on, shuts down three times then goes into powersave

You may want to check the power supply fan whether it works properly or not. Also, you may need to check your BIOS setup if you had done anything with it.
