I also have this unit with the same problems. After lamenting on making a poor purchase decision, I found somewhat of a solution. Basically, water is not being expelled during the dry cycle. When I addressed this issue, clothes were MUCH more dry than before. Made a quick video demonstrating the fix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EhzuzSk2Ok
Hi!! I know it has been a couple of months since you posted this, but hopefully you were able to resolve your issue. I am having similar problems - any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks!
the cause of this problem is a defective water inlet valve. It happened to me too. You need to replace "Valve assembly, inlet LG (OEM) Part #5220FR2008E". This part has a hose which connects to the dehumidification tower, where a waterfall of water runs into through a pipe full of hot air, collecting a small puddle at the bottom of the washer tub. The problem exists because a defective inlet assembly will allow too much water into the washer and cause your clothes to get more soaked than after they were spun dry. SOME water is required for the drying process, but not nearly as much as a broken valve will put out. You can test and temporarily fix this problem by turning the water pressure on the cold faucet down to very-low just as the spin cycle starts. It's a very easy job to replace this valve assembly and requires only basic tools. I would expect a technician would only charge about an hour of labor to do it, assuming the problem was already identified.
