Hi,
This function is only available when Caption Mode is set to On. Otherwise the option will be greyed out.
So Go to Menu - Select Caption - Select On.
From here you should be able to select Digital Option and then Custom to change the caption sizes,
Thanks for using FixYa. Please do leave a vote for the solution
Ok. If the solution has not worked this means that the closed caption adjustment option is disabled either by your cable or digital provider or you need to go into the settings of the cable box or receiver to enable it.
In other words the option is greyed out because the signal for closed caption adjustment is not being sent to the TV from the digital receiver. Therefore the option is not available. You should check the settings of the cable box or receiver to see if you can enable the closed caption option under the user setting options. Then follow the instructions I gave you to enable the option on the TV. Be aware that some cable providers do not fully support this option and if this is the case you will need to take it up with your provider. This is the cause of the greyed out option in the menu.

That didn't work. The only plus button is for the volume. The "Digital Option" button is greyed out. You didn't answer my question.
I just bought an LG LD450 42" tv and the closed caption is too small to read easily. I read in the manual that you can click on Digital Option after CC1 is selected and on and it will let you change the size of the caption. The problem is that the "Digital Option" button is greyed out. Can you help?
Nope, that's still not correct. Next guess?
Your guesses are wrong so far. What next?
Didn't work. I already knew how to do that anyway.
