There normaly a 40-1 mix,,,i run mine in a 30-1 mix,, now i know your going to say "thats a bit ritch!" but my saw is 20 years old now? and i look at it this way,,,if you can see smoke you got oil?
if you run it on two stroke or engine oil you need to run it on the ritch side,,,so stick on 30-1

Thanks.... I have been on line for hours without getting anywhere and called Homelite but they are closed for the holiday.... since we borrowed the chainsaw from a widow who has no idea of how to use it we didn't want to seize the engine

  • Anonymous Nov 25, 2010

well so long as the saw is not a very old one 30-1 should be ok, but on a very old saw you may may need to go down to 20-1 if the fule mix is to ritch for the saw the engine will hunt, the spark plug will get oiled up and you wont get full revs plus you get lot and lots of smoke out of it,,,,rember its a 2 stroke,,,it needs oil or it will seize up, so a bit of smoke is good?
mix your fule up in a small can first not in the saw's fule tank,,,dont forget to fill the chain oil tank with oil as well? 20/50 or a cheap engine oil will do in there,,be safe,

What is the oil to gas ratio for homelite model 360?

I cannot find the full details for the model 360 chain saw but a typical Homelite chain saw uses the 50/1 gas/oil ratio.
1 gallon (US) 2,6 oz
1 litre 20 cc (20 ml)

If you want to download the user manual for your chain saw then please check the full model number . for example UTxxx and select this in the Homelite site.

Can you find the model number on the Homelite Mighty Lite BlowerVac?

For the UT08520 and UT08921 26cc blowers and the UT08550 and UT08951 blower vacs, you can mix the Homelite Premium Exact Lubricant with gasoline following the label directions. For other synthetic oil additives, use 2.6 oz of additive per 1 gallon of gasoline. (It's 20ml to 1 l if you use the metric system.) That's a 50:1 ratio (gasoline to additive).

Many Homelite Blower manuals are available here: http://manuals.homelite.com/documents?page=5 . You should try to find your exact model and then check the manual to confirm that your model blower vac uses this same ratio of oil to gasoline. You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I hope this helps.

What is the gas to oil ratio for weed eaters?

Most gas weed eaters use 2-cycle engines. For the Homelite 2-cycle engine trimmers, use a 50:1 ratio of gasoline to the Homelite lubricant. (For 1 gallon of gas, add 2.6 oz of the oil.)

Many Homelite tool manuals are available here: http://www.homelite.com/service_support/product_owners_manuals . Scroll down to find your string trimmer.

I hope this helps.

Need gas/oil mix for Homelite 330 10604A, HJ

To the best of my recollection the 330 is an older model saw and should be running about a 16:1 ratio. 8oz. of oil to 1 gallon of fuel. Hope this helps.

Note: You're always better being a bit richer (lower ratio) than you are leaner (higher ratio).

What is the fuel gas ratio for a homelite yard broom ll 170mph blower

The mixture should be at a 50:1 ratio, using Premium Exact Mix™ 2-cycle engine oil. If Premium Exact Mix™ 2-cycle engine oil is not available, use a high quality 2-cycle engine oil, mixed at a 50:1 ratio.

You can get the manual on the link below if you need it also.

What is the oil-gas mix for a homelite superxl chainsaw? For 1 gal.

16:1 ratio for most 2-stroke oil brands. A service manual recommends tro check the ratio marked on the bottle if using Homelite brand 2-stroke oil. For other oils, 16 parts of gas to 1 part of oil.

For 1 gal of fuel, that is 270cc of oil required to meet the 16:1 ratio.

Correct gas to oil ratio for Homelite Mighty String Trimmer Model

most trimmers are 50:1. or 40:1. i would use synthetic 2 cycle oil and use the 50:1 ratio. i know guys with trimmers that require 50:1, and they use synthetic at 80:1 with no problems for years. they say the engine runs cleaner. i am a part-time lawn care operator.
