Our Kohler Fairfax kitchen faucet 12176 has a difficult spout swing from side to side that I thought would get easier over time. It is installed on granite and when I use hot water is very difficult to impossible to swing and will loosen the whole faucet from the granite. Is it defective or can something be adjusted? It was installed by a plumber 1month ago.

Was the base installed under the faucet..is there a single hole in granite...faucets usually come with a long base to cover the holes in sink..or with one round ring for granite installation..which the faucet should be mounted on..

How to remove the handle on a Kohler 12176?

To remove the handle on a Kohler 12176, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the water supply to the faucet.
  2. Look for a screw or set screw on the handle that is holding it in place.
  3. If there is a screw, use a screwdriver to loosen and remove it.
  4. If there is no screw, use a handle puller tool to gently pry off the handle.
  5. Once the handle is removed, you can access the valve stem and replace any damaged parts if necessary.
Note: If you are unsure about the process, consult the Kohler 12176 owner's manual for specific instructions or contact a professional plumber for assistance.

We need an expanded view of how to put back together our Kohler K-596. we need to get replacement parts.

Go to kohler web site and request a parts break down of that model they should be able to e-mail you a diagram and provide parts needed at little or no cost if you are firm about not using their product again because of bad experience with this faucet.

How do you remove the handle to repair the valve inside?

There's usually a plug button (on the top or around the base of the handle), remove that and there will be a small screw underneath.

Kohler Fairfax kitchen faucet has low flow pressure. Any suggestions? It's the faucet, not the water getting to the faucet that has the low pressure.

First thing to check is if it has a strainer on the spout that has debris. The second thing is if you have a sprayer attachment the diverter valve is a chronic problem with kitchen faucets.

Hi just moved in new home love it but the water pressure in kitchen is very low but the two baths i have the water pressure is fine can you help me please

One thing you could try is to remove the aerator at the end of the spout on the faucet, Turn water on and see if pressure is any better. If so the aerator is got something in it restricting the flow.
You also can remove the dime shaped flat in the aerator to increase water flow. It looks like a dime with a hole about 1/8" in center to restrict the flow to about 1.6 gpm. Remove it and reinstall aerator and check water flow

Most of the times when cold and hot side of faucet. It would be the first thin to check being you have good water pressure at other faucets. They catch debris and the flow slows down from the faucet's. Check out supply lines and faucet for a blockage if this doesn't take care of the problem.

Check out this web sire for a parts breakdown of parts in faucet. Check out installation and rough in sheet for information on faucet below.
