All i did was plug it into my gateway and bam it made itself work

I,m having the same problem down loading this mouse on my new note book! Please help me before I throw it in the trash! Why is it so hard to find the down load when you tell us where to to go?Thanks, Marilyn

How to connect the cordless mouse to its receiver:

1. Launch the Connect Utility. (Note: You must have administrator rights.)
2. Turn on the mouse. If the mouse does not turn on, check the battery level.
3. Press and hold the left mouse button.
4. While still holding the left button, flip over your mouse.
   • > If your mouse has a power or Reset button, briefly press once on the button while continuing to hold the left mouse button.
   • > If your mouse has a slide switch for power, slide the switch off and back on while continuing to hold the left mouse button.
5. While still holding the left button, click the right mouse button 5 times, then release the left mouse button.
6. Click OK
