I have the Infocus Screenplay 4805. The projector would not come on so I went to the manuel to see if I could troubleshhot what the problem was. I found the pages that talked about the red blinking light. Mine was blinking twice, which meant reached lamp hours, replace lamp and reset counter. I replaces lamp, and projector still will not turn on. Red light still blinking twice. Help!!

When trying to use our projector, it starts up fine, but shuts off after about a minute and wont power on again for 30 minutes or so. The bulb was replaced about 2 months ago.

I generally fix this by re-seating the bulb housing. Take it out and put it back in. Look for cracking at the base of the bulb on the mirrored surface. It could be a barely functioning bulb that isn't busted, but can't initialize. I would take it to a shop that has the same bub type in a housing and make a quick switch.

Why would my projector refuse to start with a seemingly intact light bulb?

If you only have 300 hours on it it should still be under warranty. Before doing something to void that I would check with Optoma techs.

Sanyo plc xu115 new bulb wont fire. power light turns green at first but after a few seconds it turns flashing red. the old bulb exploded on this projector.

Could be a burnt capacitor on the circuit board. Replace capacitor if you can determine which one it is. There are only a few.

Optoma hd65 projector new bulb wont turn on...cant reset timer!

I think it's a lamp driver issue from what I've seen others have gone through. I also read that if you go through the sequence of unplugging, plug back in, wait 20 seconds and try to turn on, multiple times, it will finally kick on and work. I just got mine to turn back on by doing this and waiting through the fan cycling without the light turning on. After the 4th sequence the light flickered. After the 7th sequence it finally turned on and is working. Now I can watch the Super Bowl and will look into replacing soon.

I turn on the 4805,green led blinks & bulb does not come on?

After a few minuets does the green blinking light turn to a red blinking light?

If so the problem is the lamp did not strike.Either the lamp has failed (most likely) or there is a problem with the power supply (less likely)

Blinking Light on Mitsubishi SL4SU Projector

To jmatthews

Both power light and status light a solid red with no response to any buttons indicates the bulb timer has expired. You need to reset the timer by pressing and holding the left arrow key, the right arrow key and the power button all at the same time for a few seconds.

If there are no problems, the projector will fire up, but you must replace the bulb as it will fail soon and perhaps explode when it does.

Take care
