Insignia is a Best Buy proprietary brand. In order to get you to spend money at the geek squad, they keep this information pretty secret. Hit "F1" during POST. That should do it. It works on most Insignia models. If not, you should call best buy and ask them about your specific model.

My toshiba satellite a55 s326 owners' manual says i can view the bios settings by going to HWSetup through the control panel. HW Setup isn't there. How do i view the bios settings?

With the older toshiba, you can access the bios when starting up by oressing esc key.. Now they have to make everything cheap and difficult (making money). However the newer version such as your satellite, you can't, access the bios via startup anymore. It's only going to prompt you of boot up order, or loading default value y/n for your bios. These Toshiba laptops are "legacy-free" and only have access to the bios through a Windows-based utility called Toshiba HWsetup. It comes installed with toshiba laptops (and, I think ,through their recovery cds etc). Check out your recovery disk to see if it has that application. I hope this help.

How to restore to factory

Factory restore requires the OEM restore DVD disk.

First boot the PC and press F2 during boot to enter BIOS. Change BIOS settings to factory default, to make sure the boot device sequence and all other settings are as they should be.
Then insert the Restore DVD into the DVD-rom drive and save & exit BIOS settings. It should then reboot and load from the restore disk.

Go into the BIOS (press F2 during boot) , change the boot order - put the cd first and save the change, put the restore disk in the dvd, reboot, wait for the disk to launch and follow the instructions on the screen.

Bios

Each BIOS has a differrent access key. Try pressing any one of these keys while your computer is starting up: DEL; F1; F12; ESC. its trial and error since i dont know which BIOS you are using, and do it quickly, dont press all at once, one at each start-up. if that doesnt work then look for the prompt to access bios and quickly press the key while windows is starting up. you need to be really quick to do this, once in bios play arround untill you find the bluetooth settings which should be under Advanced Settings. Enable your bluetooth. WARNING: DO NOT MAKE AND SAVE ANY CHANGES OTHER THAN THE ENABLE BLUETOOTH SETTINGS!!. Save the settings and procceed to start-up.
