You either have your controls set to high they really need to be at factory setting to recieve optima results or you have a air damper/ cold control issue

Hi,

You can fix the problem yourself, all you have to do is to follow the procedure that is below,

Most times this is a bad cold control, but there are other things to check for. Make sure the condenser fan is working and the coils are not covered with dust. A separated heat exchanger ( small capillary tubing soldered to the large suction line ) can separate from one another and make the fridge run too long. - tape tubing back together. A poor working evaporator fan motor could also make the fridge run too long and freeze - replace the fan motor. An inefficient compressor or refrigeration system could make the fridge run too long and freeze - have a service tech check this out. A misaligned control settings, make sure the air damper and cold control have not been bumped and are out of normal settings. Stuck open air diffusers or air dampers are becoming more and more common for allowing too much air to be blown into the fresh food section and freezing things. On all frost free fridge's the freezer temp air is blown into the fresh food section, if you have "easy" to freeze items ( eggs, veggies in water, etc ) in front of or under where the freezer temp air comes out, they could freeze - store them in a different spot. Doors not closing properly making the fridge run too long is something else to check for.

Take care in solving the problem.....

How do we stop things freezing in the deli drawer?

Hello,

the air deflector and the cold control. As you know, the deflector directs the freezer air toward the front of the frig and the rear of the cold control, which is now functioning properly. Luckily, I found this before rushing out to purchase the control

Take care.....

The fridge does not seem to be cold.

if just the refrige isnt cold, check the damper door located between the freezer and refrige compartments and see if its open to let in cold air from freezer,if not sometimes they freeze shut and cant operate with temperature setting changes/if nothings cold, then replace the ptc overload relay located on the compressor body,it just unplugs off the compressor

you basically have tow problems problem one
on your fridge side you have a bad thermostat
because is letting the fridge side get to cold and shunt do that
now problem two on your freezer you have either a bad defrost heating element a bad defrost thermostat of a bad defrost timer. if you are not familiar whit trouble shooting i recommend replacing all three.
sorry is not what you wanted to hear.

No air flow at all means Fan is not working. Also check damper between freezer and fridge.

My refrigerator is not getting cold

You should try to clean the coils under the fridge . Thats a simple thing to try .If your fridge /freezer cant remove the heat it wont cool ,also please make sure your doors are closing tight. We can start on all the free things you can try first..

Maytag MZD2766GES side-by-side Refrigerator warm

is it frozen up? do you have any air flow thru the air tunnel from the freeze to the fridge? Check your air flow with the door switch pushed in. also check to see if the damper door opens... 1) if it is iced up you have a defrost problem. most likely a defrost timer. Turn off or unplug untill all the ice has melted off the evaporator back of the freezer..plug back in and it will work fine untill the ice builds up again. if this work you do have a defrost problem.. if not let me know and we can go deeper...
