I dropped my phone, and I lost all pictures out of my memory card, my phone says memory card is inserted but does give me the option to save to the memory card. I used the adapter and connected to my PC and prompts that this device needs to be formatted. Any help? Are my pictures lost now?

SOURCE: SanDisk 1GB microSD Memory Card

You can't even format them when they are write-protected. I have the same problem with 2 different SD cards. The lock is in the off position but it still says they're write-protected and can't be formatted either.

SOURCE: I used Windows to format 4gb memory stick PRODuo, now what?

your 4gb drive has definately a partition virus.
i recommend u to use net protector a virus removal software to tackle this problem
may be demo version will not remove the virus but clean any malware and inform you about the virus.no other software may help as this 4 gb has a partition virus and there is an unseen partition (hidden one) on the drive... which the net protector will delete.

SOURCE: i did a reformat but still my phone cannot detect the memory card

1. If your memory card can be detected on your computer, then try to completely format the card.

2. Goto Start >> My Computer >> Right-Click the memory card icon >> Format >> Uncheck the Quick Format option >>
Start >> OK / Yes (confirm the request!).

3. If the memory card cannot be detected / readed by your PC, phone, or camera, then that card has become corrupt / unrepairable!

4. You should replace that memory card with a compatible one!

please rate this advice if it helps...tc! :)

Removing battery deletes photos

If you have a memory card in your phone, set it up so that all photos are stored on the memory card as soon as they are taken. This will stop deletion by battery removal.

All the pictures on my phone are gone

Does your phone have a micro SD card? The lost pictures were initially stored in the card, so you may need a photo recovery tool on your computer. Give this one a go if you're a Mac user.

Put card in phone lost my pics. where did they go

Remove the SD card from the phone and using an adapter for the micro sd card you can insert it on the card reader of the laptop. If you are not able to see the picture , check using the search mode for all files and also if this is hidden. If not check on the phone memory but the chances are that the images were not saved or there was a fault on the memory. Please finally check if the images are of a different format and so is not seen. if so use the option for the best program to open.

How to save videos to sd card to computer

Hi there,

Have a nice day. My name is adieh.

Using your Samsung galaxy phone you can follow these simple instructions:
1. Attach your digital phone to your PC using a USB cable.
2.Check if your computer recognizes the phone as a memory device by clicking on "My Computer" on you PC. See if it has been assigned a drive letter. This will give you access to the memory on your micro SD card.
3.Drag and drop data to the memory card by clicking on the data and moving it to the drive letter assigned to your phone. You can also right-click on anything you want to save. Click on "Save As" and save the file to the drive.
4.Access the data on your memory card using the "Tools" menu on the phone.

Another option is that if you are using a microd sd card reader. You can follow these steps:

1.Purchase a micro SD card adapter, which will allow you to insert the smaller card into SD card readers and computers. Many of the newer phones come with the adapter.

2. Insert the micro SD card and adapter into the card reader. Make sure your computer recognizes by accessing "My Computer" on your PC and clicking on the drive letter associated with your card reader.

3.Drag and drop videos or other data to the drive containing the micro SD card. Or right-click on anything you want to save, and then click on "Save As." Save the file to the correct drive.

4.Pop the memory card into your digital phone. Access it using the "Tools" menu on the phone.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using fixya.

My mmc card is corrupted how can i format mmc card

Hello DJB,

Formatting the memory card is a easy process. You can format the memory card from the format option available in memory card option itself. You can also format the memory card using the desktop pc or laptop. Remove the memory card from the phone and connect the memory card in computer using the external memory card reader and format the memory card.

How do you put photos that are saved on the phone to a memory card

Insert the card into the card slot, go into your pictures menu and then options there should be a selection to manage my pictures (it may be different with different model phones) however it will then give you the option to save/transfer pictures to phone/card, select photos you want to save to card, then select transfer or whatever term is used and send. That should have your pictures on the card.

Saveing from sd card

ok you have to put the card in the phone when you do that go into your setting and tools slide in your menu, as soon as you get in there go to the bottom of the page and go into your memory, as soon as you get in there it will give you 3 options for 1. save options 2. phone memory 3. card memory. go into the card memory and select your pictures as soon as your in there hit the options button and selct move. then it will bring you to a select options listing all of your photos select mark all and hit done. then select the move to phone option it will then transfer all of your photos to the phone. and for your music you do the same exact thing but select my music and then do the same thing as you did in the photos and you will get the same results.

1GB memory card

Sounds like maybe there is a problem with your memory card - when mine is inserted incorrectly (or not at all) it automatically saves to my camera - I then have to copy to card.
