Perhaps you have forgotten to unplug the scanner before scanning? That's
what happened to me. I kept getting different error codes, 5,202,63 or
5,202,52 or 5,202,54 and also a message that the driver was not in the
TWAIN folder. According to the help file the problem might have been due
to my nfts file system. I also tried downloading various new drivers.
Nothing helped until I noticed that I had not unplugged the scanner!

TO ANYONE READING THIS...I nearly took a hammer and smashed my Canon
LIDE 110 Scanner cause I was so mad that it gave me this stupid error
(5,202,52) no matter where I was connecting it and I thought it was
done...
THEN I just took another USB Cable (Like I have around 10 different USB
Cables) ...AND IT WORKED! Try several USB cables before you give up on
it...also don't start messing around with drivers and stuff, you could
end up screwing up your system like I did...
I hope this helps someone out there in the future with error 5,202,52 or 5,202,54, etc.
Try at least 4-5 different USB cables before anything else..
(If you want to know, I successfully used the USB cable with one of the
fat black circle things on it (I think its for power or something), not
just a straight usb cable. It's still a 5 pin USB cable however
(Regular USB on one side, small 5 pin connecter on the other side))
ive been resolving that issue for almost 8 hours since last night.(that means i did not sleep) because i badly need to scan papers for my precentation today. finally it worked after unstalling all canon folders, then reinstall everything... hope this work with you

Go to Device Manager at USB Controllers and disable Standard Enhaced PCI to USB Host Controller. If you can't find exactly this, disable the one with the word Enhaced in it. Right click it then click disable.
