How to set the time on a casio 4364

Hi jmalone1961,

I see that you need assistance on getting to set the time on your Casio 4364 watch.

I have put a link to where you can acquire the User Manual for this watch, I would like to type in the details but there will be so much that it may get more confusing if I translate the manual.

Pleasee the link below.

I have an OCW-M 800. I have downloaded the manual from mfg. website and cannot seem to get it to set the time for EST correctly. THis watch cost me over $500.00 and is so complicated that I fear I have...

I am not American, so I am not familiar with the definition of "EST" or which of the four "city" settings is correct for you.

Having read the instructions I see that for America you have to select "USA" first and then the appropriate city, have you done this?. The list of four options covers 4 time zones, so you should be able to get the correct time for your area.

When I bought an atomic watch recently, I had to leave it overnight to catch the timekeeping signals. I see that you posted your question only 14 hours ago. How long have you had it. GIve your watch a day or so for it to latch on to the correct time.

Check that the "autoreceive" is "on".

Check that the daylight saving time (DST) is correctly set. The manuals indicate that some areas may not be using it?

Keep trying - it is nice to have a watch that is always correct!

Setting date to change at midnight

Hi david91408,

You have to start this timesetting procedure by pressing button "A" upper left, while in standard timekeeping mode. The "seconds" will start flashing.
Then press "C" lower left to cycle through the various modes. Each further press will cycle as follows: Seconds >> Hours >> Minutes >> Year >> Month >> Date...then back to Seconds.
While in each mode, press "E" lower right monentarily and continuously to change to the correct time and date. Remember to press "C" after each change.

Be aware of "PM" indicator to make sure you get the watch timing correct in order to roll over the date at midnight.
When done press "A" again to go back to standard mode.

It appears your watch module is #1289. You can also download a PDF manual here for more complete operation of all facets of your watch:
http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw1289.pdf

Let me know if I can help further.

Regards, Bill

My Oceanus watch model no. 4749 stays 1/2 hr slow. I manually reset it to the correct time and it resets itself to 1/2 hr slow. I have it set at central time

You can get manual information from the Oceanus web site (NOT casio strangely enough!).

Insert "www.oceanus-us.com/" into your search engine

Select "support", then "Manual information"

Enter your model number and download the information. There are instructions on choice of home city and further adjustments if it still is not correct after initial setting up.

Minut indicator is out of sync. Reset sets cursor

1. Look in the back of your watch, it will show the model number (in a square on top of "CASIO")
2. Look at this web page for the right manual:http://www.oceanus-us.com/index.php?fuseaction=support.content&CNT_ID=14884814-F2AB-46E6-93DC-5E678BD11926
3. Look at the section "Adjusting the Home Positions" - that is where the answer is.
