We have a fisher and paykel MW512AU toploader washing machine. it turn on lets you select whatever and start it's wash then does these little beeps the lights on the wash progress flash depending on where it is up to, the hot and cold lights also flash. to move on you need to manually skip ahead on the wash progress to rinse and sometimes spin aswell. hit the start button and it finishes the job. any ideas would be appreciated regards cain

Sounds like a possible main control card issue. If this machine is under warranty please call your dealer as these boards can be expensive.

quite likely the motor controller has died, which is situated underneath the control panel.

Sounds like problem with inlet valve solenoids. There is one for the hot, and one for the cold. Fairly easy to replace if you are a confident DIYer- Disconnect from power, remove two screws holding top control panel on. You will see inlet valves on left hand side (the inlet hoses are attached to the valves, so you need to unscrew hoses). Two screws on rear of valves to remove grey plastic retainer, then valves pull up to remove. There is a rubber grommit on bottom of valves- retain this as some new valves do not come with this piece. New valves available from any good appliance repair shop. Call in the experts if you are in any doubt!!
