SOS PCI device driver pls

1.instal sp36880.exe (Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH8 2K_XP)

2.instal sp33867.exe (Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio)

3.try instal sp36090.exe (Conexant High Definition Audio) but 99% with errors !!! (extract to C:\sp36090 )

4.in DEVICE MANAGER / SYSTEM DEVICES
right click on PCI DEVICE (there is yellow trouble icon), manual search "C:\sp36090" and final instal DEVICE )

5. then instal next devices :))
sp36089.exe (HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP)

There are several versions of a Presario V3000, nevertheless, pls try here and select your model.

I already inatall sound driver in my HCL laptop from supplied driver CD. But sound is not playing.

well you can try reinstalling the audio drivers but mostly its the either the audio card or the internal speaker is dead so you will need to replace them, but before doing that just check with the drivers and see whats gonna happen

I think it must be driver problem. You can uninstall the current driver by going to system properties and in that Hardware tab and in that Device manager.

You can go to this webpage and select your Operating system and then the Audio driver. Then install that driver and reboot your system. You must get the sound, if not u can ask me back. I am with pleasure to help you more.

right click mouse over my computer go to properties,device manager,and look in the list to see if there are any highlighted question marks,if so click on ,and then click update driver ,while connected to internet,it should find drivers and fix problems,also you could try windows update,hope this helps

have installed XP in Compaq Presario 707TU Laptop. I have configured audio as below. Install Microsoft UAA sp31994, then install High-definition audio driver sp33443. But I get the error message "Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver."...
