it is probably the brushes on the motors are wore out or stuck and not making contact. pretty much junk unless you feel confident enough to attempt repair.
Try www.batteryplanet.com and www.batteries.com. If neither one of these has what you're looking for, google cordless drill batteries and chargers and pick from there. Happy surfing!!
Replacement batteries for the Workforce 18V cordless drill are available @ 888-315-3080 for $15.00+
I currently have 2 on the way via UPS
Note: This drill is no longer marketed under the WorkForce name (and Home Depot won't help you) but is marketed under several other names including Hillman.
After 3 years you probably can't get any kind of warranty support but you may be able to repair the charger or buy a universal one. www.centurytool.net sells parts for battery chargers....if you know where the drill was purchased, like sears, you may be able to take it there and they can either send it in for repairs or point you in the right directions. Most cordless drill batteries will go bad if they are not charged regularly so you may have to replace them also. Good luck!
If the charger is no longer working, then, take another charger to charge the battery of your Wagner cordless drill. If it charges, then, you have to replace your charger. It is already defective.
You may want to try a different charger base. Any way you can borrow one so you don't have to purchase first? If for some reason the charger isn't working well, you may be getting a partial charge and only that.
You may even want to rent a cordless just to try charging your own battery on a different base. before you buy.
